I'm in a right ole quandry what to do. ive got two areas at the mo, one with the kids playhouse on and one where the trampoline sits. I'm thinking of selling on the playhouse but also the space where the trampoline sits is kinda wasted. I'm torn between a large plastic shed which are roughly 1k in price, building my own shed to my own spec price unknown or go the whole hog and build a breezeblock style shed, nothing fancy or complicated just a big rectangle with a flat roof. so whats the opinion, which one would you go for, cost will play a part as it usually does thanks

For ready built have a look at this supplier, I'm planning to get one of their flat roof sheds and insulate it etc to use as an office. www.beastsheds.co.uk/Alternatively build one out of OSB and studs. Mark

Ummm, some very rough calculations using prices from Wickes, sheet OSB ~£200, studding ~£100, you'd need windows ~£300 and a door, ~£200 if you buy uPVC, insulation etc (but then the Beast sheds don't have that. I think somewhere in the region of £1,000-1,500 for a shed with proper doors windows, insulated etc. Wish I had the time to do one. Have a look here for an example, www.megashedblog.the-brightside.co.uk/and here for more information, www.secrets-of-shed-building.com/index.htmlMark

As an Aussie I'm happy to advocate steel as the shed-building material of choice. A galvanised steel frame, bolted together, with steel cladding and of course a concrete slab floor. Roller doors are essential! Something about this size should do it I reckon: With all of the steel galvanised and the cladding/roof powder-coated as well, it should last almost forever. I have no idea why you chaps feel the need to build wooden sheds in such a wet climate! Surely they must all rot out completely within 10 years.

Another thought along the metal lines, what about a shipping container, or a s/h site hut?

Try these guys, at least for a quote, if not the business. I found them helpfull, informative and honest (Not that common at times) They will quote you and include delivery and free erection. I had mine built taller and double doored with the glass moved about to suit me and still it was onloy £760 delivered and erected. They trade on Ebay as well, but most people just call Ade directly. Number on the back of the van in the photo. Look at the new teardrop thread if you want to see more about the shed. This is them on Ebay. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290449939807?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649I would take a wild guess and say you would find it difficult to match the price and quality.
