done that technique on a 26 foot bilge keel yacht, took ages but the result was very pleasing, mostly I did the rollering and my girlfriend at the time was following with the brush, wet sanded after that, 3 layers! we're still friends at some point when I get round to it I'll be doing my ZX with the same method, for the primer at least.

lower quality materials in repro parts is more likely.

given its likely to be a number of years old, though decent quality tube and bent well I would be inclined to either chop open the top of the silencers and see how much packing is still left, which in my experience of similar systems on peugeots, stuffing some glass back in makes quite a difference. or cut the boxes out and weld in new ones, which I have also done. www.clampcouk.co.uk/universal-silencer-boxes.html you could also easily increase the size of the boxes if there's space.

I highly doubt there will be that many 'incompatible' vehicles, its more likely that they are near or over 20 years old, the manufacturers either don't know nor care.
All these cars wont just stop working when you feed them E10.

Bit confused now, I did check and I’m pretty sure mine isn’t eligible for even LEZ let alone ULEZ. Here’s my reg if anyone wants to just check I’m not going potty…… LV51XDP comes up as a dw8/b 70 bhp 1868cc engine, not an xud.

I doubt it is classified correctly if they are asking £100 for a C15, should be £12.50 if my understanding of the wording is correct.
a hdi engine swap might get you a few years, or an electric motor.

make sure you get it flat before welding the sills, there's a fair bit of stiffness lost there especially if the spot weld at the bottom of the B pillar has come away.

Peugeot make their own dampers, part of why they have such a reputation for good damping and chassis control for a long time.
best bet is to just refresh what you have brake wise, strip and re-seal the calipers, check the wheel cylinders, fresh brake fluid.
if you want to upgrade there are loads of options, look up the article on the 205gtidrivers forum about what brakes will fit.
its not a DTurbo either, being that late and in that blue its most likely an INCA model, happening to have a Turbo diesel engine, DTurbo was a specific trim model, most were red or grey I believe.

it'll be a halfshaft replacement if the holes are shagged out.

I'm sure 101.6mm to 100mm is well within range for a wobble bolt. Personally, I don't want to risk it there is no risk, just an eccentric washer, make sure its on the spigot and away you go. no different to a tapered wheel on any other vehicle.

for what the tooling costs I would rather juat get a machine shop to cut all the seats and valves on a Serdi machine or similar, no grinding required, just assembly, hell even let the machine shop fit the valves and springs with their air powered spring compressors.

cars and trucks have mostly been using some kind of plastic/nylon rigid lines since the mid 90's at least.

its the head design that causes the oil issues.
rear calipers only need refreshing, those aluminium golf ones are more well known than the Peugeot for seizing up!
omp cage isnt the best, more of a bare minimum.

not seen diesel at 1.50?!
its 1.28 here in south wales, I doubt an old diesel vehicle would match the economy and refinement of most moderns that cant run on veg nowadays.

price doesnt seeem far off, I paid around £130 about 4 years ago for a light skim and cut 16 valve seats and valves, no pressure test though.
I think skim was 36+vat and a pressure test around 40+

. The Zetec probably won’t have the torque of the pinto though but it is lighter. what an odd statement, why would a modern ish 4 valve engine of the same capacity make less torque? I think you are mistaking the rpm they make the power, and the asthmatic nature of a pinto driving like a diesel, with lack of torque.
