Having owned one of these - albeit a 4 door, I can safely say it was the best car i've ever had. The sheer joy of driving it still makes me smile. And mine only had a standard engine.
I want this so bad, I best start selling stuff...

I don't think the shine helps
I'd maybe think about chucking a coat of matt bed liner on it. The texture would also help hide imperfections
Something like Raptor Liner

I have a Google Home Mini Plays music at a volume I can hear it and not my neighbours, because it's a bit dickish to play music others can hear. I can also ask it if it's raining or not, saves me turning my head to look out the window Oh oh oh, because I have several more in the house, I can use it as a tannoy to ask for a brew as well

Where are you?
I know a bloke in the Midlands who brings containers over all the time.
You have it sent to his warehouse in the US and he does the rest

Tiny update. It's been hot, not sure if you've noticed? Anyway, turns out my Acrylic dash which I made a tight fit expands in the heat and does this It's gone back to normal once cooled, but it means I need to shave a little front each end and maybe enlarge the mounting holes and use some sort of flexible washer? When we first built her my mate made the gearstick one night when I wasn't there, it worked, but I had to lean forward for 1st and 3rd and it also hit my legs getting it into reverse. I knocked up a longer stick with a few bends that now perfectly fits me. It's made her even more of a joy to drive and much comfortabler. I topped it off with the handle from my Grandads old Kamasa ratchet. I plan to wrap the stalk in paracord. She's always been down on power, I figured the engine was tired and since I'm going to be fitting a new one I wasn't that fussed. I've worked out that the new one wont materialise for a long while yet, so I started taking a look at the issue. I went through everything, set the carb, timing etc and she was still awful, idled fine and was ok until 2K but after that she was popping and missing and very flat. I noticed when doing the timing the mark was jumping around, so I knew something was amiss there. I bought a £30 PowerSpark unit and now she's a different car. She pulls hard really showing off her 35-40bhp So now I can keep driving her whilst I eventually sort the engine out. Oh, turns out there may be enough space for a KL-DE

I was going to do this. Got me a Jago and found it completely unsuitable. The chassis and suspension just wont allow the look of an Owner. They would supply the body though, but what you'd legally put it on I have no idea :/ Have you still got yours? Or did it quietly move on, can’t remember. I started to build a new chassis, then decided it would never pass an iva. You can often find a chassis, shell and ID as the Escort boys strip the parts

So this is perfectly acceptable on the forum then? "the owners suffer from a 'vanity attention seeking deficiency' or it's done in a stubborn 'I'm doing it just because I can' - I realise it sets a scene & carries support from like minded individuals but it constantly reminds of the fashion shows with catwalk models paraded up & down dressed in a outfit made from a cardboard box, a black bin liner and decorated in used tea bags that were washed in a dew pond 'Just because they can" You surely cant wade in on 99% of the forum users and expect a great outcome?

One of these round the corner from me looking very sad.
I knocked on the door to make a buy and they slammed it in my face! Nice!

I've built several looms in the past.
Great opportunity to get modern wiring and terminals in place and also bin horible things like the dynamo and regulator and ancient fuse box etc...
You can also break everything down into seperate circuits giving more protection and easier diags
Not sure what these 'special' tools are? Decent crimpers can be had for £20
Uninsulated terminals really are cheap, just make sure you buy them from somewhere decent like vehicle wiring products and not eBay.

Little run out yesterday. I need to make a bigger battery crate to hide the 2s lipo and wiring. Oh, and my servo is well and truly toast, so that needs replacing

I got the two speed fitted in George's today. Annoyingly I have lost a pin and bar from one of the CV joints. Happens quite often. Thing to do is put some heat shrink over the spring that holds them in. Stops the spring getting caught up on obstacles and gettting ripped off

I'd have thought an inlet pipe would be much better than a fan feeding it air

I had one of them there birthdays So I asked for things to delight my childish self Flysky GT3C Radio gear HobbyWing 1080 dedicated crawler ESC I paired these with some things i'd bought previously A pair of 7.4v, 2400Mah Lipo batteries And a charger to, well, charge them with Can we safely say, what with the metal drivetrain that my WPL is no longer toy grade? I had a go in the garden, I should really make a course The ESC is amazing, you can program everything. Having a drag brake whilst crawling has transformed her

That's cool as, if it was closer id be more tempted than I am already. I guess it must be the same PCD as a range rover? How odd, and cool 5x114.3 standard Japanese fitment These are FreeLander wheels, i'm going to hazard a guess the chassis isn't very British on that???

Did I mention the seats make a bed?
Or that the rear folds up to make a bulkhead and its like a van then?
Handy stuff.
Oh, the steering wheel is from a later Civic and cost a fair whack. The airbag works (well, it should, I'd rather not test it), the original is comically large
I've got the original tv / sat nav unit and cd changer as well, if that's your thing.
I'm 98% sure the exhaust is aftermarket as well. It makes a nice subtle tone.

Sorry, I should have been clearer 🤦🏼♂️
Both the front and rear bumpers have paint crazing on them. These are factory bumpers, so I'm guessing it's a factory issue.
I've had a garage weld up the sill on the drivers side as there was rusting around the clips that hold the kit on. This means a little filling is required at the rear arch end as the heat has tweeked the panel slightly.
Both rear arches show surface rust, but it really is just surface, the metal looks in fine fettle to me.
Its why it's cheap though. A mediocre one is still close to a grand now.
I'm genuinely only selling as I've bought a Cabstar and cant be bothered with a shuffle round on the driveway every time I choose a different vehicle
