Thanks Pete, that's really kind of you to say that ;D Some more pics from Sunday night....just a couple of 'random' ones rather than a set of shots from one location: The more I look at them, the more I am dying to get back out there with the tripod. High ISO FTL!!

They're nice Bruce, you did very well with no tripod man - not even a hint of a shake there!

Great story with the head unit....I had one back in the day but changed it for a kdc-ps900 which I always thought was a tad smoother, a bit less digital which I preferred. I imported that from the states too.....crazy! Hey day of car audio I think before awful graphics and design took over from sq.
I've a Soundstream Ref 405 that needs repairing, been struggling to find someone to do it. Think it might be the power supply but not sure.....do you think the polish guy could sort it?

This thread just keeps getting better and better Great story on the head unit, I have a Nakamichi that the wiring had been damaged when removed from my brothers car that was involved in a big smash. It was a mission to find a new loom for it (Got one from ebay.de in the end) and then to find someone to rewire the aerial input but it's all fixed now and boxed up along with some nice Focal gear waiting on the right car.

Loving the peroid alpine headunit/ice & rim choice. Subtle touches are really nice!

Noise be gone. I hate you Dave. I love you too. In equal measure. ;D Dude, you've got me wanting a new computer now. My ancient PC would just throw a hard drive if it tried to run that software Hmmm.....maybe my 'secret project' budget should be reduced and I go splash out on some new hardware? Food for thought. In the meantime, here are some more uber high ISO shots from Sunday night. If you're all getting bored of them by now, there is only one more set to go after this lot (I think?)

I never really liked mx5's. However ive just read through this entire thread, and yours definately isnt a hairdresser car, it looks hard as. What an epic build thread, one of the best ive seen, and an epic car. Great stuff.

Thanks Phil, I did try the solenoid but I just don't think it's quite got the power to do what I need it to. If you need it back, please let me know? I'll send you a PM with my possible solution if I can ever get it to work Right, you'll be glad to know that this is the last set of shots from Sunday night. A location I'd looked at a few times, but always dismissed that it wasn't practical. That was until I saw some pics that Butterz took here and suddenly it shot up onto my 'must do' list of locations around Bristol. It's a pain because you have to drive for a good few hundred yards down the narrow rail tracks, no chance of turning around or room to move much....plus cyclists and drunks passing by in close proximity so lots of chances to gain scratches....but worth it regardless. I want to do more with this location, but for now must apologise about my car being in the same position in all shots, it really wasn't practical to move it, especially when I got covered in anti-climb paint and decided to get my shots befoe attempting to clean myself up and move the car. I know what to look out for in future Anyway, here they are, my last shots of Sunday night. See the two little orange lights at the end of the track? That's how far you need to reverse to get out of this location. Not ideal if you want to turn the car around every few minutes! Sorry if they are a bit repetitive, but next time I will have the patience to move the car around for more varied shots. Plus I won't be covered in anti-climb paint. LOL

Me and my cousins used to sit on that exact crane and get baked before we went out clubbing, nice relaxing spot.

Bruce, The old electric cranes are awesome. The guards and plod can get a bit stroppy if you drive down by the old steam crane but that makes for good daytime shots. Re the solenoid, keep it- add it to the tat pile at A52, I'm sure it'll come in handy one day --Phil

Great to see it finally all together and on the road. I have heard of people using these for lazy eye conversions (thats what we call them, not sure if its the technical term!). cgi.ebay.co.uk/180560644531Not sure if they would be too big for an MX5!
