Lee, nope, you need it back? I've had man flu and done nothing again this weekend. I'll wizz it over with the power of German diesel any evening if you need it back though.
Lewis, that Ciera has T&T and a reserve. Could go as much as like £750!

the one at £360? Ooop North IIRC. Aye, seen that I was anticipating that it would sell somewhere top side of £500 which is double my budget. It may do better than that as well, it looks nice.

Yeh, it does look nice, 3ltr Efi V6, power steering, leccy windows etc etc. Can vouch for the ride in these cedrics now, smooth as silk. plus, being japanese, is gonna be hella reliable

you have cool US tin to eat your money. buy something nearing the scrapyard with 6 months mot. you'll spend £100-£150 at the minute after having a unpicky look through the yellow papers. for example, just got a 96 felicia combi with mot till june for less than your budget - the perfect winter motor!

Gotta agree with everyone here really - as much as I love the blind buying of tat, if one of the criteria is practicality (i.e.: it has to have an MOT) then this car doesn't meet it. and you have plenty of much cooler US iron at Akku towers already! ;D

Ah yes, but just imagine if you had two boxes needing to come out!
Plus an MOT to do (which you know would fail due to an emissions problem).

Well although I think for some unknown illogical and plain stupid reason that, that is cool! I think buying it would be waaaay uncool! Buy summet cheap to tool about in for the winter.
Yeah its sensible and boring but when you don't have to be lying on your back in the snow to attach a bit of American Banger that took a week to arrive you'll be much happier.

I think I might be a retard. I think you might be right! Finish one of the other fugga's off before you become one of those old duffers with a garden full of cool rides that your going to fix 'someday' but time/money/life/the other 50 cars in your garden get in the way! i vote cheap and reliable daily hack (an old volvo sounds like the ticket) taking the pressure off you to get the other rides back on the road in your own time. whys the box got to come out again?

TBH, I just don't 'get' the appeal of these later Yank rides. Sure the 50's & 60's land yachts & muscle cars are 110% oof, but all the later stuff is soggy, underpowered, ill-handling grot which seems to carry a price premium purely due to the legacy of their forebears. Look at all the cool non-US stuff of the same age that could be had for the same £. You could get a prefectly respectable european motor that would be 'retro-cool' without the associated arseache. Having a yank for the sake of it just doesn't add up in my book. Precisely. Looks like a pile of curse word to me... Get an old 3 or 5 series (E34 or E36) IMO. Or that Volvo, thats a bargain.

This is a very rare occasion on here that when someone asks if they should buy a certain car everyone isnt actually saying buy it! ;D Personally, if all my toys were broken and i was stuck catching buses, I would be looking in the local rag for the cheapest motor with the longest MOT!

Looks like a pile of curse word to me... Get an old 3 or 5 series (E34 or E36).. Well those look like a pile of curse word too. Fix the GDMF-ing Capri, Ali. I mean, what could it need that SOC can't supply from his yard for 30 quid FFS! Good heat, already rusty, so who cares, and it's retro. And you already own it, and may as well futz with it. Huh? Huh? Huh?
