Yeah, I'd rather look like a wee stained Floridian than a hard up drug dealer LOL.
Capri will need LOTS of work to make it road legal. Although oddly I just bought it some new number plates. What a spectacular waste of money that was. But that made me feel better.

I've missed a bit of this, wassup with the Capri? Other than rust which can go on and on, shirely they're as simple as a spade? As you've already got a garage full of cool stuff that needs fixing I'd go for something which doesn't need fixing for your next car. Something interesting will come up that's closer to home and with a ticket. Use the force, Akku

The Capri hasn't run since 1991. The body is solid but the bits which attach to the body (doors, wings, etc.) are rotten. Mechanically everything is siezed. Brakes, clutch, engine, door locks, etc. and I don't have any keys for it any more. Lordy only knows what happened to them. So I don't think that its a quick fix project.

Can we not with an all out effort get one of the KU-Mobiles running for an MOT? All round Akkus for crazy MOT prep time? Rape the others to get one of them good for the winter? If so, give me warning and I will get some time to help! Not particularly skilled but can wield a spanner!

Have you ever worked out the value of car vs. garage rent incurred ratio? Pity the price of scrap's bombed recently. I don't need the drill back yet, I just wondered if you'd made any progress yet. Let me know if you need a hand. *fits sensible head* DON'T BUY ANY MORE PILES OF curse word. FIX ONE OF YOUR OTHER PILES OF curse word.

I sold that ages ago to a chap who goes by the name of TrevMk3 on here (occasionally ) I spent the money from that on the Cadillac, the engine of which I have since destroyed and not yet replaced. obviously the logical course of action is to fix some pile of cack I already own... this is the advice I'd give to me in my situation if I were someone else. logical, pah, we'll see...

the Susan and the Camaro are both on my watch list. The van is too far man. Thanks for the offer Kev, but aren't you using that box? anyway, I think I am close to having the Oldsmobile trans issue sorted. Whether the rest of the car is in a usable state when its running is another question. The Buick is way too rusty to pass the kind of MOT where the car is actually taken to the test centre. I'm going to see how (and if!) the Olds goes when I'm done doing what I'm doing. I had a number of interesting vehicles offered by PM, including yet another yank tank. Which is tempting as its beige and MOT'd and suitable "old person" fodder. But I like my gonads attached to my body so I better not. Em freaked at the suggestion of that Susan Alto so quite how she'd take another big yank I dunno. But I'd be hiding the knifes and any sharp objects when I told her LOL
