YO!
Check out my latest bit of kit!
Took a 'flyer' on this one, bought purely on the strength of this picture:

Not much to go on, huh!
However I had a kind of 'gut feeling', so sat up till stupidly late to 'play my hand', and I was pleased with the outcome
I had planned to collect the car myself, but the fates conspired against me, so again I chose to use the services of Bev @ Blue Thunder ( www.bluethundertransportation.co.uk or 01480 812066).
The car arrived this afternoon, and I was so excited I cracked straight on with an extensive 'prodding' session... with pleasing results.. some minor titilation may be needed on the OSR sill, but other than that it is ROCK SOLID.
Here's some piccies to excite you!
CAN YOU SPELL PATINA?
At a guess I would say that it hasn't seen the road in at least 6 years, maybe more. So a quick check on fluids etc, some fresh petrol and a jump..... and WOOHOO! In business!! Engine runs like a sewing machine. Needs a good 'italian tune-up' (second gear blast round the block ), and some fettling to the accelerator mechanism, but it goes, and goes nicely.
The clutch is waaay off and the brakes are non-existant, so there's some little jobs for tomorrow ;D
After a quick clean-up here's the current situation!
As evAr massif thanks to Russell who came round to assist with the mission of getting the owd beast running (and dismantling bits of it for no clearly good reason ;D ) and for helping to clean it up... in fact I hardly got to do any cleaning... by the time I'd finished fannying with making sure the dog couldn't escape, Russ and my 4 yr old son had blasted most of the filth off it. RESTECP.
Tomorrow is polishing up, sorting the interior and obv. looking at the brakes and clutch. Reckon I should be able to have it done and road legal within a couple of weeks. RAA!!
