I mean firstly, thanks to the usual suspects for again a fantastic show as usual, wouldn’t expect anything less. Secondly, I would like to thank those camping for leaving the campsite refreshingly tidy this year, the ‘clean up team’ (this year it was only myself and Colonelk, mainly because of how tidy it already was!) basically had very little to do, which was brilliant. Roll on RRW and RRG 2024 👍🏻

It was as laid back as ever, good security who aren’t on a power trip always helps.
My only criticism this year was the food. I think it worked a bit better last year where the food vans were in a circle round the outside of some seating on the lower hard standing area. This year where they were there was relatively little seating close by. The were noticeably fewer food outlets (worst of all no curry goat- it’s got to the point I don’t take any food for the Sunday as I always have that which caught me out this year) but the ones that were there were offensively expensive with maybe the exception of the tacos which is what I ended up having. . The bengali streetfood wanted £17 for a tray and £2.50 for a can of coke, so basically £20 per person. Thanks but no thanks.

Problem with that setup last year was that the queues started blocking the access/exit towards the Campsite so people were having to drive through the crowds which was a bit of an issue.

We were actually down two food stalls, Jamrock with the curry goat were supposed to be there, but were let down by staff at the very last minute. The Bare Bones Pizza guys similarly had issues just a day or so before the event. Food prices I can't really speak to as it seems par for the course at every festival I've been to this year. Will do more checking out of prices for the remaining events I go to this year, so Keith and I can get a better handle on what the general market is up to.
We could do with more seating around that area really, but didn't want to put seats by the entry road, and didn't want to swap the side the food traders were on because then it is just the backs of the other trade stands. Will have a think on it for next year. For us that whole area worked a lot better than where it was previously and the newly regraded (less)dust bowl was great full of cars.

First time at this venue in particular and thought it worked so well with a real chilled environment. Lovely place to camp and enjoy the evenings wandering round. Very well organized and the track time was smooth and run to perfection. Well done team 👌

This was my 3rd year for RRG, 2nd time at Mallory and I definitely prefer Mallory as a venue to Shelsley Walsh. The track time/sprint format on Sunday was amazing. Managed to get 4runs (12laps) because the day ran smoothly. I’ll definitely be applying for track time next year!! Camping was great as was last year, only two things I personally think would improve the weekend would be a clear time table available so you know when events are happening, break times between quick60 etc.. and for those who are camping for the weekend, some entertainment on Saturday evening, I know you tried last year and it didn’t work out but we do enjoy the tat auction. Apart from that we loved it and will be attending next year!!

Oooh, one thing to ask, any chance that next year we could have all the quick 60 cars parked on the grid at lunch time on the Saturday so we can have a wander round them. Really loved that last year and had a great chat with the chap who owned the 240/260z IMSA car

Massive thanks to all the RR crew for yet another cracking weekend very much enjoyed! Special thanks to Ian bstardchild for shuffling the packs in the early morning track runs so I didn't hold everyone else up due to a severe lack of power!

Massive thanks to all the RR crew for yet another cracking weekend very much enjoyed! Special thanks to Ian bstardchild for shuffling the packs in the early morning track runs so I didn't hold everyone else up due to a severe lack of power! It made more sense to do that - it wasn't just you that we did it for - same with gaping cars - we had Mark (start line Marshall) who very quickly picked up what was needed to do to ensure we got everyone the two laps without slower cars getting the chequers before they'd done just one lap because they'd already been overtaken It's a lesson we need to apply to Goodwood as well (yes GW is a longer circuit but they gap/release cars rigidly to the same point. At Mallory we had the opportunity to be flexible with the release point for the following cars. (we started with half way round Gerrards and ended up at the end of the chevrons on the pit exit Probably something I will raise in the Sunday Track feedback thread I intend to start when my thoughts are firmed up

I'm going to add a thank you. Firstly to all those who put the time and effort in to making these shows happen. I went to the first at Mallory park all those years ago and went to all of them at sparkford and Prescott camping each time. Haven't been since then and wasn't sure what to expect after a 10yr camping hiatus. Camping was a bit more spread out and we were quite tightly packed in around others on the bottom section of camping, wasn't really an issue as our neighbours weren't loud late on, but it easily could have been.
There used to be a family/early night area and I was hoping to be able to join in with them as I knew my other half would need earlier nights than me, she gets fatigued relatively easily.
That's my only slightly not positive comment. Otherwise, security were friendly, toilets as clean as can be expected, plenty of big bins to dump rubbish, great views of the racetrack especially the higher level camping, easy to drive around being next to the road. All very good improvements from the last time I went camping.
The show was as expected, brilliant and well organised. My other half had absolutely no interest in cars at the beginning but came out of it with more appreciation and understanding of why we do this. She already wants to go next year!
Big thanks to all those I managed to catch up with after so many years away, like walking back into a weird family, in the best possible way. A good catch up over many beverages was had.
A most excellent weekend. I hope to not miss any more, ever!

My first time at RRG and I absolutely loved it. Very few shows this day and age manage to have the same relaxed atmosphere and an incredible collection of cars. Camping was fantastic, I met and talked to so many new people all of which were like minded and eager to discuss their cars. Fantastic job by all involved organising this event, I will definitely be attending in the future!

Special thanks to Ian for accomodating our 3 cars in the same late afternoon track session. This was incredible fun and made the weekend even more enjoyable. Didn't expect to get so many runs in, but in the end I think it was 8?!
Camping was great, facilities probably the best condition of any event for the past few years. Dust is unavoidable at this venue so no point complaining about it🤷♂️
I should have booked more club stand space, as our turnout was unprecedented, but this is at no fault of the organisers! Better to have a packed stand than a half empty one anyway, I reckon.
Overall another cracking event, the only downside is that Weekender now seems a bloody long way away...
