few bits arrived today from the USA here's my interior light, switch , door switch's and starter button, I think it's good that the Americans make the effort to remake parts for these old trucks, they are all made in China mind but still they get them made , Do we do the same here with old British cars ? my plate surround arrived to, now to get the old Airfix enamel out and a steady hand and repaint the blue bits , If Strider lets me ! While watching probably the BEST Bond film ever on ITV4 - Goldfinger

A good day on the truck today , I have been mucking about with front and rear lights lately, mainly coz I looked at the universal loom and it didn't make sense, Well playing around with other bits has worked out, I looked at it this morning and it all made sense and I did watch a few YouTube vid's first job, get the heater system out the way , I left it in until now as I've got enough parts of the truck all over the workshop as it is , came out pretty easy really and had a good clean as the little mice had made a home of it at some point , most of the seat wadding material was in there all jammed up , but it was nice and dry so came out easy , the heater matrix which I thought would be toast looks good and when I was cleaning stuff and turned the whole lot upside down , bright green coolant came out of it , so hopefully it will be good and not leak which is a bonus ! Fuse box is now mounted on the driver's side for easy access and I'm going through one circuit at a time , plan is to get all the bit like lights and stuff working and engine turning over with the starter button , then get my helpful mate over who knows about ECU and modern stuff to help me get all the engine hooked up into the new loom

I now have some lights in the dash and a lot less wires to go places ! , 120A relay for the air ride compressor needs to be added on a spare circuit, also vacuum pump and some other stuff , then tidy up and wrap the loom all up oh and proper connectors

I really want to reply to pretty much every post you put on here.
Loving the helmet.
I think I may have a similar one too.
Sharing and teaching is awesome.
One of my favourite things to do.

Manged to get the wiper motor and heater motor going the weekend , result ! put the heater stuff back in so I can run the loom around to , The dents in the roof are mostly gone now to , I also drilled the roof and put some marker lights on , With 2 it looks a bit Dalek though I might put the other 2 in the middle What do you lot think ?
