bit of an update on the F1, made some engine mounts and got them in and then decided to turn it around and do the back axle/notch stuff before I fully weld and finish off the front, just in case it didn't sit right after and the front needs more tweaks, All stripped down and then some OG CAD Made a bed frame out of some ally and some old pallets, theres a hindge at the bulck head so it lifts up for access, will have gas struts in the end, Worked out OK, sits good and the rear tyres are just off the arch inside when right down, Gave it a wash and clean and put some of that Patina Sauce I bought ages ago on it, with a coupe of coats it come up nice, hopefully it will last longer than the usual boiled Linseed oil I use in the Welsh rain Next up steering column should be here this week but first I've gotta take the engine and box back out and clean up the front chassis and finish weld everything and give it a lick of paint, Also on the list is work out and make front and rear shock mounts, fit the new wiring loom and a few other bits,

Been a slack few weeks as i actually took some time off and went to Hayride and RetroFest last few weeks, both great shows and the COE went great even in the hot weather and traffic jams, back on it now though.. sorted out an exhaust , wanted to do an X pipe with some Augers so made one up with the truck on blocks so it's tucked up out the way when on the floor, hope fully will sound pretty good and can always replace the auger's with boxes like i used on the COE after, gonna exit out in front of the rear archs through the running board coz these sit on the floor, fitted a GM tilt coloumn and some UJ's , so it misses the headers, found a bargain old mooneyes steering wheel on ebay so made a horn push for it, Also turns out the 302 I was sold isn't a 302 and is a late '67 289 with a cam and 1963 heads after I took it out the check it over, needs boring but with new bearings, maybe a 4 barrel and some other bits it will be good to go, Here's some pictures of the COE's travels , even used it to move some stuff out of my mums old flat, actually earning its money lol visited my auntie for her 80th to and even the vicar loved the truck

cleaned up the rest of the chassis and painted that to and also under all the cab with a bit of green and converted it '68 mustang twin circuit master disc/drum with a adapter I knocked up, wiring loom is next on the plan while the engine is away getting bored/honed, and sort out mounting the air tank and bits in the back under the false bed,

been a bit slack updating this thread lately sorry, But I have been busy on the truck these past couple months, made some windows out of some old Sunseeker Lexan my mate traded me for a little machining job for him, made a headliner out of Dan Dare comics , fitted the new loom in and got all the lights working, rebuilt the wiper motor. heater motor to get them working properly again, started the wood on the bed, and rebuilt the engine, need to modify the cross member next for the rear gearbox mount then I can stick it in the truck... Hopefully then some nice loud V8 noise's

Love the windows and that motor looks super fresh dude!
I've hit a right slump with my toys, work has been a bit dominating, but seeing this progress is lighting the fire again!
Can't wait to see this F1 rolling!
