	I’ve started on fitting my socket boxes round the garages and working out the route of the power line from the main consumer unit in the kitchen, as I don’t want to be digging up the patio I’m going to be routing the SWA overhead to the garage 2.5mm2 cable for the wall sockets This socket will be used solely to power the 12v transformer for the Chines diesel heater and this will have it’s own 16amp type A RCBO/RCD to itself I’ve fitted the poles for the suspension cable support from the garage to the bungalow Fittings for the suspension cable support Then fitted the TV aerial bracket At the garage side Chinese Diesel heater final resting place Exhaust Air intake Amazing how bright it is under the mezzanine with the lights switched on in daylight Off On I’ve got hold of a professional electrician who is happy to do all the connections and test my work and finally give me a Part P certificate Question I’m not sure whether to go for type “A RCBO” or “RCD” circuit breaker switch in the fuse box, the electrician has told me the difference between the two, and really it’s up to me which one I go for, type A RCBO breaker switch is around 3 to 4 times the price of the RCD breaker switch I’ve been told type A RCBOs can do what RCDs can do plus protect a circuit from short circuits and overload, any opinions?

	Went on a bit of a shopping spree today, I bought extra hooks and rope clamps to strengthen the poles holding the SWA and also went to my local electrical suppliers and bought some more materials for the electrician I ended up going for the type A RCBO fuses Here’s just under £300 worth of materials 1x fuse box 1x 32amp A RCBO fuse 2x 6amp A RCBO fuse 3x 16amp A RCBO fuse 23M 6mm2 three core SWA 4M 6mm2 three core cable 2x SWA end couplings* 2x termination boxes* 30x Cable Cleat It was raining this afternoon, so didn’t do anything outside, I’m hoping the weather is better tomorrow, I made a start with the fuse box, now waiting for the sparky to giving me a date when he’s poping over SWA end couplings* termination boxes* If I decide to have the SWA terminated on the outside of both the bungalow and the garage, then these will be used

	Once I tightened the Guy-wire, I noticed that both flag poles were being pulled, not much maybe 50mm - 70mm at their top, so I started fitting anchor wires to both flag poles I think it’ll be a bit safer if I fit a lightning conductor to both flagpoles, something I’ll be doing later Then routing then SWA down the wall to the mains box in the kitchen Then the electrician arrived on the said day (which for people in the building trade I found rather rare) Fitting the 40 amp connecting box at the mains box Then connection in the garage All connected Next stage, getting the carpenter to make and fit the doors
