I couldn't make that this year, annoyingly. There's a similar thing happening mid-July over by Emmerich, though.

Not much news, but as of two weeks ago, I now own the car exactly five years. Bought it on 20th June 2019. Back then, I looked at a number of 944s over a period of a few weeks - most of them were overpriced junk. When I viewed mine in Essen, it was by far the best I had found in terms of condition. On the same day, however, I wanted to look at a turbo at a dealer in Holland, a supposed 'transaxle specialist'. So I left the S for the time being and drove about 2 hours to Holland. The turbo was such a dressed-up corpse that I was still standing in the dealer's yard when I called the seller of my S - 'get the papers ready, I'll come and get it'. Best decision ever. At the time, the car looked good and was in good condition, but unfortunately there was still a lot of technical work to be done - the previous owner had practically only kept it in the garage and it had hardly seen the road. As a result, more and more 'damage' gradually came to light. It took a while until everything was fixed and the car ran really reliably, but these days I would have absolutely no qualms about getting into the car *now* without any preparation and blasting off across Europe. I still enjoy it just as much today as I did when I bought it - maybe even more. The last car I had for such a long time and to which I had a similar connection was my E36 Touring. And similar to my Touring, I've met an incredible number of great people and made new friends thanks to the 944. Cars simply bring people together. Here's to many more years with this thing <3 Also two weeks back, I was at a small meet with the car and was able to snag some neat pics.

Interesting - that Transaxle specialist keeps popping up in my Marktplaats feed. I've got a real want on for a 944 or 928 at the moment. I still regret turning down an S2 for 2k fifteen years ago.
Yours looks great. Properly great.

Thank you! I had a slight mishap happen two weeks ago Curbed both wheels on the right hand side. Front: Rear: So, tires off Some filing and sanding... ... and of course some re-polishing and they looked good as new again. Tires back on, run perfectly straight and balanced perfectly. Looking nice again! Now it's just about two weeks until I'll travel to the UK again for RollHard at Bicester Heritage. Can't wait!
