With fuel injectors, to a certain point it won't matter going too big with a bit of future proof upgrades in mind And I would say polish the plates, but only the ones you will be able to get to when installed

Firstly thanks mk2cossie for mentioning the injectors, I've now ordered 8x ford racing Mustang LS1 30lb 315cc injectors 0-280-155-759 Also charger plates have arrived which are now polished and installed. Hopefully will start installing the charger tomorrow.

The new injectors have arrived and these are 12mm longer than the originals, so additional aluminium spacers were ordered to lift the fuel rail.

As planed the charger was bolted down, inlet manifold fitted, nope! Another setback. I have replaced the original rocker covers with these polished aluminium ones, not knowing they were 7mm higher, which in turn kept the inlet manifold from seating onto the plenum. I had thought of having a 10mm spacer plate made but decided against it, as I thought it would be another weak area for leaks. So decided to mill out the rocker covers, it's a bit crude best I could do with a Dremel. So now I've got 50 thousandth of an inch clearance beneath the inlet manifold and rocker covers. So now the charger is bolted back on, and I've order new gaskets and the next tricky bit is measuring up for the new belt.

I use the same relays, the LED makes fault-finding a lot easier!

Sometimes, others may not understand why you like a car so much. Sometimes, you may not even understand why you like a car so much. But none of that matters; all that matters is that you like the car, and having it makes you happy.

Another area which is causing me grief is the Throttle position sensor the existing sensor which is off a Jaguar is actually a Ford unit and this was giving all sorts of wild readings so that's now in the bin! I've done a lot of research in finding an alternative, and what I've gone for is the Acuity 1879. Instead of using the OEM wiper-style design, a modern hall effect technology to provide improved reliability and accuracy the end result is improved engine responsiveness, improved idle, and improved throttle response.

Happy New Year to you all. I hope this year will be better than 20021. As I've had to reverse the rocker covers the oil filler cap has become rather awkward to access. Sent a drawing up to Ged's Shed precision engineering and he has made up an extension piece for me. On a more disastrous note the 75mm jaguar throttle body has gone AWOL I have a horrible feeling it has been discarded to the scrap metal bin, not happy in the slightest! So I've now purchased a 90mm throttle body.

Such impressive work. I’m getting a headache looking at all the relays and wiring!
