Yes Hairnet, do it!
'Fraid the scrapyard is about four hours from Sacramento Mischa, so I'll find you a better one closer in!
Err, still in Lake Tahoe... Wifi is pretty abundant here so I'm catching up with people on the phone.
The other thing that's pretty abundant are cool motors, I've seen Mercs, VW's, loads of stuff, even an 80s M6 on big ass BBS rims.
I'll leave you with this thought, maybe Americans all drive because the local transportation systems are called things like this...
Tahoe Area Regional Transit.
Yeap... They got big old buses with 'TART' written on the side.
;D

New rims look cool. Now all you need is some 'bags...it would be rude not to take advantage of the exchange rate, surely? Got to be honest, I'm getting a little too attached to the old boy at the moment... And everything I'm looking at is not quite right. You never know. ;D

That Mag wheel would have looked mighty fine on the back of your house as a garden hose reel but you've scuppered that one by selling up Oh, and can you go back and get the grille and front panel off the Saab for me please

Buying a BMW or a Bentley & looking cool is easy, but the credit doesn't go to you.Taking an unloved car that cost ÂŁ500 & making it good enough to get photos in magazines or stand out alongside cars that cost one hundred times more is a skill reserved for us loonies!

And I may well be getting too much sun, but does anybody else remember this car from some of the Amazon threads way back? I'm sure there was one posted on air, this colour, big rims? I may be wrong but I'm sure somebody will know what I'm talking about. *Shrugs* Yup, looks like the same car to me, although I think that the wheels have been swapped. What a pity that it's ended up like this.... ...and no mistake. WHEN the book comes out can you sign it for me please Oh, and buy the Mustang obviously Oh yes - utterly amazing thread!! Also, signed copy when it comes out in hardback for me too please! ;D

update!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (please) But of course. Okay so I had a big update all planned out, headed north out of Lake Tahoe after getting my Inglese plates, fixed up my beach cruiser, saw a Mustang in Reno, went south to Lake Mono and then Yosemite National Park, slept at 9000ft and woke to ice on the windscreen... But then I got to San Jose and it all went out the window. As of about four hours ago, I became the owner of this 1967 Mustang Coupe. I AM THE LAW. I'm staying the night in the garage compound where I bought it, so as I write, it's ten feet away. Pics of everything else to come soon, but right now I dream of Mustangs. ;D (who said what a load of old pony?)

excellent. Don't listen to Carol Shelby, he knows nothing about body styles.. The notchback coupe is actually lighter and stiffer than the fastback...

excellent. Don't listen to Carol Shelby, he knows nothing about body styles.. The notchback coupe is actually lighter and stiffer than the fastback... Now those are the kind of facts I like MrK ;D Mucho appreciato. As for plans, the first one is to get it home somehow, so if anybody has any shipping company recommendations they'd be greatly recieved. I'm just south of San Fran, so maybe somebody based there? After that I think I'll probably respray it, as the patina just ain't that cool on this one. I may change the wheels before it leaves here, I'll see what the budget can handle... To be honest, I'll probably enjoy it for a couple of months back home and then sell it on next spring. Aside from the obvious attempt to claw back some cash I've been spending madly over here, I plan to be in Oz, NZ and then maybe Japan next year so it just wouldn't get used... Just like all the others sat back in Somerset. Kyle (from on here) sent me a message to say apparantly a tramp is sleeping in either my Ambulance or my bay window camper... So it'll be best not kept there! Right guys, it's late here and I'm giddy with tired excitement. So have a good day and I'll see you later. ;D
