Two of the chrome wheelnuts provide a sound basis for restoration I think. Or maybe I should just rod it. I think that I can justly claim to have carte blanche as far as the body goes. Probably upset some of the traditionalists though Wells beach, Norfolk.

Yikes, unlikely we'll be seeing at the Norfolk meet tomorrow night then?*
*Unless Slater digs it out and works his magic on it.

Looks like a trailer axle? The 2nd looks like something my cat would bring up......

4 stud? could posibly be 3, cant tell from the pic. Small wide rear brakes (look a little mini like, but its not mini)
front wheel drive or, as mentioned, trailor axle (using mini brakes?).
How close was the engine?

There was a rear axle with diff & propshaft there but I didn't photograph it cos it looked a bit rough ;D
All three were just a few feet apart and there was a wheel with remains of tyre nearby- 4 bolt, about 16" at a guess

so is that a front axle? Doesnt look like it has the ability to steer? Unless its a load of dumped scrap.

If it's a Renner it was probably parked up by the sea front a couple of days ago looking shiny and new. When the owner got back, the salty sea air had taken it's toll.
I found some sort of 4x4 in a cave in Newquay, all smashed to bits by the sea. It had apparently been driven off the cliff and plunged a good 40 feet onto the beach. It was pretty weird seeing it there.

I think it's a bit too far gone for me to take on- I've never honed cylinders before, but if anyone needs any encouragement This was turned into this- Different beach tho'

^^^ Blimey, thats a miracle.. and looks ace too IMHO the exhumation pic from the '70s isn't entirely representative of Bab's condition, as I'm pretty sure that what we're seeing is also very heavy crash damage (which also sadly resulted in the death of the driver, Parry Thomas, when he was attempting to regain the LSR in 1927) before it was interred in the dunes at Pendine. However IIRC quite a lot of the running gear is origina, but the aluminium body had to be replaced. Still a mammoth rebuild though!!!
