Good work. What make are the lowering springs? (And what drop in MM?)  They are Mad lowering springs allegedly -60mm, didn't measure before and after but it looks like a fairly decent drop. |

Thats a nice amount of low, like that look. Those cosworth sides skirts you mean, will they fit on the hatchback one's? Got one now very recently, was thinking of some RS-kit, hard to find in the NL but cosworth kits are available. Totally inspired me with the lowering, i need some for mine, haha. Keep up the work, curious about that front bumper! |

Updattingz Exhaust: First off I did some exhaust c**tery removing the big centre silencer and replaced the exhaust tip with a 2" outwardly rolled tip from some kind of Peugeot exhaust... Exhaust off...  Then I failed to take any other photos until I'd put it back on, mainly because my mig welder kept playing up (please ignore the rear bumper!)...  Slightly noisier and better looking IMO Steering wheel: A friend owed me a favour and as sort of payment, I received this lovely Benetton F1 Momo steering wheel...  Wheels: As some of you might know I have a sick love for three spoke alloys, so when I saw these poorly listed wheels on eBay I thought it was worth a stab...  Listed as '4x110 escort/cortina/capri wheels' the description said they were 7.5x16" now given the listing said they were 4x110 I did have my concerns that the other dimensions might be incorrect too. But at £40 I thought it was worth a punt, even if they were in Leicester. Thankfully a friend of mine was visiting family near there over Christmas and picked the wheels up for me With my £40 wheels back with me, they were 4x108 and as a mega bonus they turned out to be 7.5x16's and apart from a pretty dreadful paint job are in really good condition  Sooooo I trial fitted them...         Front shock clearance...  I'm mega happy with them, awesome fitment and cheap as chips. Thinking of 195/50 or 205/45 nothing too stretched but don't want anything too balloon like. |

Where to start, well I thought I'd freshen up the three spokes with some paint. Which I did... Tatty white  Prep'd  WOW ultra conservative silver! Wanted the wheels to standout rather than the colour.   They need some centre badges and some tyres, but unfortunately or fortunately something else has got in the way..... I got offered a very cheap Granada Cosworth, the rest as they say is history. Boom!  I'm not 100% sure what I'm going to do with it. I suppose the ideal situation would be to fit the engine (with a manual MT75 2wd/V6 Hybrid) and swap the running gear too. Engine benefits... 200-odd BHP with (hopefully) reliability Axle swap benefits.... 5 stud (5x112 offers IMO better opportunity for cool wheels) Increased track front and rear Increased front camber (although could be a bad too haha) Better brakes front and rear (bigger calipers and larger disc diameter) Thicker front ARB Adds rear ARB Oh and then I bought a S14 ducktail spoiler, because it looked like it would probably fit..... which it kinda does    ANDDDDD I bought some more wheels, 5x112 ones this time.  In my defence they were poorly listed and cheapish, plus they look awesome. Anyway I need to actually need to start working on the car rather than just buying stuff! |

Sweet! Like where this is going! Is the 5x112 a easy swap? Just put the Scorpio hubs on? Love to put the Cosworth alloys on mine Sierra, looking forward to see the wheels that you bought on yours, they look cool! Kinda doing the opposite with mine, just working instead of buying fun bits  (almost done with headgasket and cooling system) |

Great updates, but what on earth is going on with the scorpio side repeater?!?!
Had many happy driven miles in my Dads Fords, he went from a 2.0is sierra to a a Granada 2.9 4x4 ghia x, he did use to love his Fords.

Apart from limiting wheel fitment due to offset it all seems like a win win situation. Great updates, but what on earth is going on with the scorpio side repeater?!?! The Granada has had some "interesting repairs" done to it, most of the bodywork is curse word bumpers are held on with self tappers, bit have been rattle canned in completely the wrong green and the indicators look like they've been stolen off a truck. It's all a bit odd! I've got those same wheels! They're Merc fitment. Yeah the wheels are 5x112, but I'm pretty sure they are Granada fitment   |

It can be done If you look carefully I dropped the whole lot off the front of the Granada onto a trolley and simply bolted up. BUT I have never driven it on the road.....yet. And sparksecm wants to buy the shell from me |

By the way I used Escos front struts but only had standard Sierra springs to put on them so thats why it's sat funny.

I'm, planning a 5x112 conversion on my mk1 too as you say so much more options for wheels.... but this time I'm using a complete 2wd Sapphire Cosworth front end but with the Granada hub face going on after replacing front bearings in the steering knuckles.

Awesome! Ofcourse you have to shove the scorpio axles under it! I own a 3 door shell with scorpio 4wd axles under it, the whole alu front subframe and all, straight up bolt on. You could probably get some 5x114.3's on those hubs as well, giving you a huge array of wheels to chose from. There is plenty of options for engines, but a 24v is a very sensible choice as i guess this is a daily driver? Still plenty of grunt for hooning too |
