Oooo lovely wheels should look great once you figure a way of getting them on I like the cam cover too, the car overall is so classy, it needs a little something crazy under the bonnet I like the sound of the porting work too, its making me want to get a cheap second hand manifold and have a play about with the dremel

Great wheels, I love the funny-looking cam cover (certainly a change from the usual Fulvia stuff!!), and the porting is really interesting Re-drilling the wheels might not be that risky, but on the other hand having adapters and arches would mean you can fit any 4x114.3 you want...

I too love the new wheels, think you're spot on with all silver centers! I do really hope you'll re-drill them so there's no need for arches (sorry I so like the clean look of your lancia....) even if it means welding up the existing holes first. I've seen it done so often that I can't really believe that it would really be so much more unsafe.
I can so picture this car in that dark blue with the silver wheels...

Lovely work, massive fan of this car. Also, I, for one love the cam cover. Few places will plug and redrill the wheels for you pretty easily and they are perfectly safe - lots of the VAG boys do it regularly. I love the lines of the car as is without the overfenders. Voodoo Motorsport or G23 Engineering are familiar with doing that sort of thing.

Glad to hear the cam cover and wheels are generally going down well I wasn't sure whether to expect a backlash! These pictures are making me feel that I could get away with over arches and it still look good…. I've been in the garage for a bit tonight, with the cam cover and wheels progress I'm starting to find some enthusiasm for cosmetics again. It won't last long so I'll make the most of it haha Tonight I've been looking at the indicators. They did fit neatly in the bumper, but since removing the bumpers all I've done is bodge the original indicators on to the front valance. Very ugly and needed sorting. I've toyed wit various different options for indicators, swap to early Fulvia types that fit direct to the body (rather than the bumper), try to make these fit flush or use another smaller more recessed indicator from another vehicle. I've been playing with some old motorbike indicators, but then had an idea tonight. First up I removed the Fulvia indicator lenses, and mounted them directly to the body. Happy with how thats gonna look. Next up I made a small bracket so I could mount a motorbike indicator, minus it's lens, behind the Fulvia lens. Not especially pretty, but functional, and not visible from the outside! So that's worked, also saved some weight as the Fulvia indicators aren't especially light. Only done the drivers side so far (right hand side of the photo), but as I'm happy with it I'll sort the other next time I'm in the garage.

That blue Fulvia does look amazing and the arches don't look out of place, but I do wonder if thats just because they tie into the whole rally look of that car?

Tis a fair point and I agree with you. I've no problem with the rally car look though But its whether my car will really do that look properly or not.

Mmmm the rally look is good, I think if you paint it that dark Lancia blue you were talking about then the rally look could definitely work, burgundy rally car.. I'm not so sure

If you're going dark blue, then small black or body coloured arches may just blend in okay?

I stand by what I said earlier! Also, the rally look I don't think will work as well with a colour as dark as you're proposing. If by rally look you mean you'd also consider blacked out hood/trunklid and arches...

Flaring the arches a bit doesn't look that much different from the original, but those overarches don't look great and spoil the clean lines. The blue car does look good in full rally trim. C

I'd be happy to get the wheels modified, but I don't really know where to get that kinda thing done and I'm just a bit wary of getting aluminium wheels modified. There's heat treating and stuff to deal with isn't there? I think they'll look much better with the centres painted, meant to put in the previous post, thank you for pointing me in their direction! No worries dude, glad you found what you wanted! Mystery Machine might know a place that can plug and drill the wheels to match the Lancia pcd as he's had some done previously.

Often wondered with Fulvias if the front numberplate mount from an Alfa spider (original not the recent one) could be adapted to mount the plate over to one side, might clean up the front look a bit.

Cheers TeeraRoot I've not really thought about side mounting the number plate. I always liked how they look on mx5/rx7s when I had them but the standard Fulvia plate position doesn't bother me as such. If I were to do it I'd just make me own brackets up as that's what I did for the Mazdas anyway. Maybe when I'm messing with the other indicator I'll mock it up and see how it looks Arches blended into the body, like you're doing Crahel, are being considered. I've not got any money to do anything more towards getting the wheels fitted in January anyway, so I've got some time to think. In other news, my jets arrived wednesday! Last night I popped in my new mains (125 to replace 120). I say 'popped' but because of the silly jet location on these solex carbs it actually took about 45 mins!… Anyway it did make a difference Once I get off the idle circuit its now giving me AFRs between 13:1 and 14:1 all the way to the redline. Much safer, the engine feels smoother (again!) and keener. It's really noticeable around town, no lean spots just as I pull out of junctions etc. On the downside, cruise at anything above 40 mph is now giving me afrs between n13 & 14, rather than the 15s I was getting before. Engine will be happy enough with that but it;s a waste of fuel. So I'll keep on playing. I might try putting the 120 mains back in and trying the smaller air corrector jets next. Alternativly I might drop the float height a little, when I played with it on the original jets I found it made a noticeable difference at cruise but didn't make much difference at big throttle openings. I know it sounds a bit silly, but my experience with carbs ( on a car at least) is limited. So to see the main jet change make exactly the changes to the AFR I expected, in exactly the same throttle and rev positions as the books had told me it would, was really reassuring. It gives me a lot more confidence to stick with carbs for the foreseeable future.

hmmmmm….. up to this point I've only really been thinking of Fulvia group 4/ group 3 arches (as pictured on various cars in this thread). But Japanese wheels, so why not Japanese inspired arches? Albeit a rough photoshop, I feel this looks better than the Fulvia specific arches against my car, with my level of mods. still unsure how it'll look in real life though. I'm leaning towards PCD adapters and arches tonight, mostly because it doesn't tie me down to one specific set of wheels.
