Damn it, I'm going to have to seriously reconsider my intercontinental departure plans... This may well be worth a 24K round trip.
No, it definitely is. ;D

Hi It's been posted on the Avenger & Sunbeam Owners forum. 2007 is the 35th Anniversary of the Avenger Tiger and we would love to put on a club stand if that's OK. Cheers Marcus www.asoc.co.uk

just bumping this to the top to gauge peoples opinion on something
i am in discussion with Sporting Bears about appearing at the show. They are a motor club who attend evens (such as RR07), have a host of members who bring along high performance cars, and then 'sell' rides in these cars with all proceeds going to various childrens charities.
Anyone at the Classic show at the NEC will probably have seen them. They have a huge range of cars from old performance classics right up to Enzo's. I seem to remember at the NEC they were doing trips of 10/15 mins (or it might have been 10 miles) for £20ish up to £100 (depending on the car, the Enzo was £100)
We are talking about doing trips on the country roads surrounding Mallory, and also potentially a few on the track.
SO - what i want to know is, does going for a trip in a rare performance/luxury car appeal to people?

That sounds like a great idea, esp as it's for charity BTW, whats the deal with the type of cars at this show? Are standard classics etc welcome? Just wondering as I've been thinking of pimping it on the Ovlov OC and Midget & Sprite Club forums amongst others. Seth & I were discussing this last night, and the Cambridge & Oxford OC could probably provide a good turnout too, including a few wild customs ;D

Yeah we love standard cars as well, as long as they aren't going to get sniffy that there are modified cars there.... its a car nuts weekend so all sorts will turn up.

Thats the good things about this site, because its not one make specific, the show is going to be big and random! Excellent, I shall pimp to the best of my abilities but the show is on the same weekend as the imp national. I know which one I'm going to J

I could ask around in the CO-OC and see if anyone fancies bringing along a couple of bangers to display? Or would that be one step too far? Oh and feedback for Keefy. Don't think I would take advantage of that kind of thing myself but I'm sure it'd get a good reception.

I'd like to get some of the VSCC there, be nice to get at least a one out on the track,.. imagine Andy Frosts RedVictor1, followed by an ERA (or some such), followed by a 6R4, followed by Eddie Rattley's 510,.... c'mon that would be the best 10 minutes of track action in the history of the world....
