Holy Moly those bumpers are something else, extraordinary! Looks a bit low on the front, might be the bumpers' fault!

Actually I'd keep the bumpers because: 1/ Your car looks accident-proof with them, and people won't mess with someone that's got nothing to lose 2/ When on a picnic, you don't need a bench to sit on, you've got bumpers! How cool is that??
I like that!

What's the pump for, above the alternator - air con or power steering?

What's the pump for, above the alternator - air con or power steering? Non of the above. That is a smog pump , for Californian emission.

Well , heavy bumpers are gone . I replaced them with light aluminum ones . You might say original , chrome bumpers are better , but I don't think so. All chrome will be painted black eventually , so the chrome bumpers will not fit. Few things were cleaned , I put clear side markers , instead of the amber ones. Found some Hella foglights . Got rid of the stupid license plate illumination . Also new muffler were installed (I had to make a cutout to fit it) and Torino badge was attached to the grill.

Amazing - I'm chuffed and confused how anyone in the US ever bought one of these new! You need to badge it up as a Lada Riva to really scare the locals!!

What a great car. Have you kept the bumpers? They should defo be preserved as an example of X-TREME USA 1970's 'SAFETY' BUMPERS, if I had a car suitable for em i'd be asking you to sell them to me.

Liking the upgrades. What are the bumpers off, an X1/9?
Do you find the tubular exhaust manifold gives much gain? And, I see you've lost the smog pump! Gives a nice clean look to the classic twin-cam.

Thank you , but unfortunately ( or fortunately ) I don't have them no more. I tried to sell them first , then I tried to swap them for something else , after that I tried to give them away - but had no luck. Finally scrap metal pickers picked them up and was extremely happy to get rig of them. ;D

Luvley, luvley But please change the bumper for chrome. Thank you. But maybe I have a perverted taste - I don't like chrome , so no chrome bumpers , sorry.
