I'm sure you all know my rocco by now, its heading a bit late 70's early 80's in style, what with the little zender spoiler, electric ariel and black wheels with red pinstripes. Theres a tailblazer on ebay, ive thought about them before. You know, the red reflective thing that goes between the rear lights. I thought it might tie in nicely with the overall look. Also, recently, ive been having rather perverse thoughts about the old green sun strips with your names on. All rather tongue in cheek obviously, and not in the 'best' taste maybe, but the thoughts still linger. retro gone too far? a nice joke to some but mindnumbingly awful to most? I just cant decide

Not a fan of either to be honest, back in the day they weren't exactly the modification of choice either. Usually done by those that would nowadays frequent Halfords, tragic irony on a modern day retro for me I'm afraid. That said, I'm always up to be convinced otherwise...

I know, i know how it was seen in the day, and that what appeals to me. For some reason they just make me smile in bad taste kind of way.
I realise it doesnt actually look 'good' in the normal sense, but its so bad it appeals.
I don't look at either and think 'wow that looks sweet!', its just a bit of fun/curse word take.

Theres a tailblazer on ebay, ive thought about them before. I've agonised about these before. They're definitely a period mod, but I don't think everything done back in the day deserves a resurgance. If it was done really tongue-in-cheek (as I'm sure you would do it) teamed with other really tacky '80s mods, you might get away with it. But I don't think your 'rocco deserves that - as a bit of fun on a £150 banger it would be a laugh, but I think your car is able to pull off something much more special.

yeah, maybe your right.
As for sun strip colour, it would have to be traditional see through green with white name letters ;D
Maybe ill save such things for a future project (green capri ghia?)

Don't forget some Fido Dido stickers I had a type 2 crew cab painted lime green with fido dido stickers all over it, and a huge 7up sticker on the front... That was twelve years ago, it wasn't cool then, it isn't cool now. Look at Slaters mini for logo inspiration. I sprayed the van Cosworth met grey pronto and slammed it over 15in Merc steels.

I think you should do it... Your not alone in considering it!
When I bought my Derby, that had a green sun strip in and I thought about getting a few stickers and putting something like GAZ on the drivers side and TRACEY in the other or BAZ and SHAZ or ME and OUR LASS e.t.c...
Any Combo of names, as long as theres at least one with a Z in it would suit ;D
