Hello! ;D Well some of you may have seen the Lanchester/Daimler thread I made a couple of weeks ago. Well seeing as my brothers put dibs on them I knew I needed something vintage too! I came across a 1936 Morris 14 and here she is. She just arrived today so I have yet to tinker with her. Only 13 or so known to be left in the world now, so I've heard (many times lol) Nice gear knob fix from the previous owner! ;D Wind deflectors! The car is all there, just taken apart by the previous owner for some prep. She is a work in progress but is 75% ready to go back on the road! Thanks for looking ;D

That brown Morris is nice! ;D If its a 1938 its a series 3. Mines a series 2. Think that's correct (still learning ) The car is great every time I look at it I find another quirky feature. It has a blind for the back window too ;D

Looks in pretty good order - what are your plans for it? Would be a pity to hack about a decent one like this to take a bigger engine, as the entire running gear would also need uprating to take the power.

great little car this, i love the art deco dashboards in cars of this period. it'll look really good with a fresh coat of paint or with just the wings painted and then given a good buff all over.
ps. are you the sophers that used to reside on ratlook a lot by any chance

Got her started today!! Wooo
Little vid of her first start up.
She sounds gorgeous, my phone camera reaaalllyyy doesn't do her any justice. So I will try to get a better camera for another vid ;D
As you can see in the vid quite a few people interested to see the beast start ;D
She now starts first time & doesn't skip a beat ;D

Overdue update Well I've fixed the drivers seat down as the runners were buckled. I've also reconditioned and temp fitted the headlamps. I've had to disconnect them until the wiring is renewed. Next thing on my to do list. After and before: The reason I haven't got a vid of it driving yet is because the carb is leaking slightly. Turns out its the float that's got a tad brittle and the petrol is weighing it down. New float is being ordered tomorrow. Then I shall give her a spin round the farm Nothing exciting I know but its getting there now. Hoping to have her ready for the Brean beach meet in March. Might be ambitious but finger crossed! Thanks for looking peeps ;D

If you bring it to the next Beach Party, I would happily donate my left love spud to have a drive of that, it sounds GORGEOUS. Those 1800cc six-pot sidevalve lumps are glorious little things.
