Well seeing that my MK2 GTI has now been sold and I have way to many other things to get my hands dirty with I think it's time I sold this TSR (Tim Stiles Racing ) 1.9 DONNINGTON engine that I was going to fit to the MK2 that is now sold, it came from a C reg car with K jet tronic injection but my MK2 had dijifant injection, so I went down to the local VW dealer and bought the injector seats to fit my car, I also have all of the gaskets that you will need to rebuild the engine, I have bought the crank shaft seal at the cam belt end and the crank shaft seal at the flywheel end, there is a new rear engine mount to, the bore's are all in good condition and has been well oiled up and turns over by hand easy, there is a lightend flywheel that came from a tarmac rally stage car with an AP clutch so it should rev quite well , take a look at the photo to see how much thinner it is, I have all the relivent paper work from TSR that came with the engine, I believe the engine has 130 bhp which is nice power for an 8valve engine, this engine was running when I bought the car which it cam from and pulled very well indeed ;D some photos for you all. flywheel flyweel again injector seats and engine seals under side of the head I have cleaned three of the combustion chambers as you can see but never got round to the last one. the valve are modified to help the air flow crank crossdrilled and balanced high pressure oil pump polished combustion chambers TSR202 camshaft inlet/outlet ports and valve thoats have been modified, matched and smoothed for optimum airflow heavy duty double valve springs I can take more pictures if you need any just let me know? the engine is two miles from Heathrow Airport which is junction 14 of the M25 looking for £350 for this lot and will chuck in the inlet manifold (K jet). Cheers Alan.

Fantastic cars Mondeo's my first was an 2.0 SI in red it drove really well and had MK1 sierra cosworth alloys on it, when the m.o.t came round i sold the wheels and then the car for more than it cost me ;D
second Mondeo was a 1 owner 1.8 LX (red) which i had for a year, it did the head gasket as the the m.o.t was due so i sold that on for the same as i bought it for (got it cheap) just check the metal water pipe that goes round by the crank pullie and off side front wheel, it can rust letting out the water leading to a head gasket change or not in my case, excellent Daily my nippas loved them.

I used to fit the windows to the Rover 400's or should i say MG's at West Surrey Racing. the side skirts and arches were made of metal so they could have some of the wheel to wheel paint swaping action we all love in Touring Cars but still continue racing, the front windscreen was made of aerospace polycarbonate and they cost £1400 each, didnt have to worrie about breaking it though seeing as it was plastic, the cars would be brought in brand new striped then sent away to be acid dipped to remove all paint and sealers, the acid would also eat away at the metal reducing the weight of the shell, they would then spend many many hours welding it all up it was fantastic to watch them build a car

First and most important thing to do is don't take it to autofarse or any of the big name companys, find a small local windscreen company (best to phone a couple of them tell them what you need and see what they come up with, if they cut you some flat lam or have toughend glass made for you it will need to have the right primers on the edge of the glass where the bond goes or the uv light will break the bond down in time and it will look awful ! as for the tint you may be able to get the same company to do it, but if the glass is flat it is not to hard, just makke sure the glass is spotless, i do all sorts of glass on cars, trucks, coaches, trains, boats and even an airplane or two, oh and window tint allsorts, hope that helps

it's defo a Rallye, i checked and double checked, it says Rallye on the log book, and has the logo's on the seats and the steeringwheel, there is no sound proof mats on the floor, the stickers were removed because the first owner didnt like them, i don't know if the uk spec Rallyes came with the arches or not ? i cant see any marks where they would have been though, had a good look over it and it all looks to be original, if it were the euro spec it would have the twin webbers on it but as it is with the twin choke carb 75 bhp and 749kg it's good fun ;D
Mmmm maybey some bike carbs or twin webbers..........

I know all the Rallyes I have seen for sale are sold by the time I ring them, this one was in Twickenham so not far from me and only had two owners, the chap I bought it from had done so much work on it over the years and kept all the bills, but got tired of having no creature comforts and got himself a Honda, so he had this sat around and just wanted it gone, got it for £250 which would be cheap for a normal 205 so very happy but i really don't know what it's worth ?

I have been wanting one of these for a while and when this came up for sale I thought I would go have a look, it's had the head rebuilt so it does not smoke and it has tax and m.o.t, I have been driving my MK2 gti as my daily and I really want to stop useing it and save money on fuel/tax/and insurance, I love the way the pug glides over my local speed bumps unlike the golf which breaks my back, it likes to get along too, quiet peppy ;D the seats will need a retrim also the bumpers need to be painted white, and I was thinking it would look nice if it was a little closer to the floor but not sure what to do suspension wise ? the 13"wheels need painting and some yoko's would be cool on them, other than that just keep it standard looking and enjoy
