A few years ago I was driving three cars (not all at the same time!) a Mk1 Cortina GT, Sunbeam Rapier and SAAB 9000. Each one had the handbrake in a different position. Umbrella type (cortina), on the floor by the door (Rapier) on the floor between the seats (SAAB) so you can imagine swapping betweeen the cars resulted in hands all over the place when wishing to apply the handbrake. You can guarantee I'd go for the wrong place!

Is it your only car? Cos most Classic policies rely on you having another car to drive most of the time.
My Cortina is insured through Footman James - and its modified - so you could try them.

Astoundingly I don't like that. Something there just ain't right. A gasser style car always sits nose up, cos the thinking at the time was it improves weight transfer - even to the extent of altering the wheelbase to bring the rear axle forward like so: I reckon that's what ain't right. Good effort tho!

I just looked up on the DVLA's website a couple of cars I e-bayed a year or two ago and two out of three are still taxed! Here's the most unlikely one being taken away: Nice bit of "patina" there!

Try Auto trader - search for any make, any model and £1000 max price then wade through all the wanted adds to page twelve and find this:
200SX for £199 - got to be able to bargain them down - and its an auto
I can't get the picture to link or the hyperlink, but give it a try.
