be easier to make from scratch. unless your revving to high rpm you'll get a better benefit from long runners. the above rover V8 peaks at 6000rpm but has so much grunt for a 3.5 litre (weighing 750 kgs helps)

the marks on the CROWN wheel are reference numbers to make sure the CROWN wheel and pinion match each other and the other number is the backlash (BL) which is 8 thousandths of an inch.

i'm in Bexhill-on-Sea.
any machine shop should be able to turn the chokes but they aren't a straight bore but a taper so it takes a little working out. I could turn them on my lathe if I have a few spare hours to set up the machine and make a cutting tool to get the correct profile of the cutting bit to machine the curve.

few steps backwards. crank trigger was too close to the chassis so I had to make an alternative set up. just need to remove the rack and bottom pulley so I can change the position of the trigger wheel. also decided to get rid of the trumpets to fit shorter ones so I can fit K+N filters. needed a bit of panel beating to the inner arch to fit. still mocking up so still a long way off driving. thinking middle of 2017 they way its going.

cheers. slowly clearing the shelves of parts I mocked up and made years ago. actually seems quite strange to bolt them on permanently after all this time looking at them.

it doesn't take much to look like progress but it is still a way off running. all the wiring has to be done and the next biggest hurdle is the rear axle which I have to make from various parts.
plan is to have it finished by next year as i'll have had this project ongoing for 10 years.

bit tight, going to have to cut the oil filter out engine may have to come out again if the engine mounts move at all for some more clearance modifications but otherwise it's going well.

Are two anti-roll bars needed? Surely it doesn't need that much understeer? you forget i'm fitting a heavier engine and the wheel base is shorter than the classic Mini. watch how much lean they have
