This forum does do weird things now?
when logging it it gives me choices so the above post was from a new account that the forum decided to give me?
anyway. S800 is safely under cover at present
Barracudas are still ongoing but i can't see me doing Two now so i will be breaking one and get rid of the shell. no parts will be for sale as spares for these cars are very difficult to get hold of and usually expensive.

Haven't done much to the cars recently as iv'e been busy with work. This Cobra had been at Beaulieu for near on 40 years. I recently had the pleasure of completely dismantling it and then putting it back together. then got to pedal it around Goodwood as part of the Shelby Celebration Parade. Still working on the Cobra finishing a few small items But it turns out the engine in the Cobra is a Holman Moody supplied 427 with LeMans Crank and Rods. It has dry Sump oiling which make it quite a rare version (filler on the right hand front wing). The engine went to America for overhaul and has 525 bhp. The Cobra also has a very tall axle gear ratio which we suspect that this was because this Cobra was entered in the 1966 Lemans 24 hour race though it didn't compete. Axle makes a very tall first gear so it's like pulling away in top but the engine doesn't struggle as it is 7 litres in a car weighing not much more than 1000kgs. oh and the GT40 pictured with the Cobra i did 12 years ago (which spent the best part of 30 years at Beaulieu) [both were privately owned by the same owner]

Nice.
about 20odd years ago i was looking for a RWD Starlet because i just bought back my old '77 Toyota Celica GT Liftback (genuine RA28 twin cam with twin 40's, LSD etc still running and driving) for £100 (yes a hundred quid). Plan was to transplant the running gear into a Starlet. didn't happen though and sold the Celica for £300.
always liked the Starlet but never got one.

they are generic knock off wheel spinners. Route Borrani knock offs have the Route Borrani logo and are (like most race stuff) three eared.

I've got Cortina P100 rear axle bits on my project. Finding wheel bearings was proving a little difficult but I eventually found that the Renault Master 4X4 rear axle uses exactly the same bearings and seal. These are available and I should have the part number somewhere if you need it? (That is if you are using the original axle?)

that's the only picture I have of it. No modifications apart from 215/45x17 tyres. Makes the speedo accurate though with the slightly higher tyre wall. The original buyer ticked a few boxes for extras. It has the pedals, the chrome roll over bars, the hard top, bonnet gas struts and did have the funky fuel filler cap but that has been changed back to a standard one at some point. I may do something with it one day?

this'll sound like the usual cliche, but they really do feel like they are on rails. With the true 50/50 weight distribution it takes quite a bit to unsettle them on cornering.
Mine was in a similar condition to when you first got yours, just a little bit of corrosion now appearing on the right rear wheel arch and the rear underside part of the sills starting to corrode. The perils of using one in the snow and salt.
I have had a Honda S2000 for about a year but just couldn't gel with it. For me using it as an everyday driver the MX5 is a much better car. Also the S2000 would do about 28 miles to the Gallon but in the MX5 I was getting 38 MPG.

I've got an NC Sport sitting in my garden unused at the moment, same colour.
had it five years and used it as a daily driver for four clocking over 40,000 miles on top of the 49,000 I bought it with.
came with a removable Hardtop from new which makes it quite a pretty looking car (much nicer than the retractable hard top) and as it's spent most of the time with the hard top on the soft top is like new still.
I fitted 215 tyres as they fit the wheels much better and don't look so lost in the arches.
Not 100% sure what i'm going to do with it yet.

Found these pictures of my Barracuda as found in the US a few years ago. but otherwise not really much to update as i'm still gathering bits together. (p.s. I can't edit the title to include the Barracudas as that was an old account i'm not using anymore)

from my take reading the specs from the pictures posted for the 36IDF is that all four versions have the same jetting as listed. 36IDF34 36IDF35 36IDF36 36IDF37 the difference between the four versions listed would be the progression holes. also listed here. www.carbparts.eu/jetting_table

the above photo is from the American advert in 2018 proudly showing new floors having been "welded" in here is that adverti'm the third UK owner and this is where the car is at the moment floors so poorly fitted that a screw driver took care of most of the "welds" there is even a 15 inch split/cut in the left hand sill where the old floor was removed and the "repairer" didn't fix before the floor panel was back put over it. it took longer the get the sealer off hiding the poor quality repair than removing the repair. i will be making proper repairs plus making and welding in frame connectors while the floor is out. but that isn't all. the car had a respray in the 80's, was put away in the 90's and pulled out of storage in 2017. It turns out the 80's paint is non stick. so it now also need a bare metal respray. basically i now have a restoration i didn't need or want.... hey ho... plan was to keep for a few years and sell when the other is done. now the plan is to convert to RHD, change the colour to more of the original Blue and keep it long term as i now have to invest more time, money and effort with no increase in value. it isn't a rotten body shell, just had poor repairs to the floors. it isn't too bad overall and still quite a rare car being a Formula S with the High output 273, heavy duty suspension, front anti roll bar and also has a limited slip differential. it did also come with the rare original hub caps shown in the US advert (though it'll end up rolling on the 15inch Rallye Steels i have)

I had a similar dilemma with my Honda build (modern alternator ecu controlled) that wasn't running an ECU
hopefully you may find this helpful.
there are four wires coming out of the back of the F20c alternator, a warning lamp wire, positive ignition feed wire and the other two wires going to the ECU. The ECU wires drops the charging voltage to 13.2 at certain loads and running conditions (for economy) all i had to do was not do anything with the ECU wires, as simple as that.
I have 14.7 volts (which is perfect for the Gel Battery i'm using) and a charge lamp that works as it should.
