Have been looking at the cost of a Nodiz system instead, just in case the ecu is repairable or expensive to fix but the thing is I don't know if it is the problem yet, don't wan to replace it all and find the misfire still there.... I got a nodiz with plug and play loom for the xe that's going in my capri, i thought the price was very good

Great stuff, did you go for the bushes inner on the adjustable tca or the rose joint? I went for the rose joint but don't know whether I've made a mistake as I've not put them on yet Can I get serious for a moment, please please please will you make sure you have the best security you can get for the old girl, it Looks a beautiful car and it saddens me how many are getting lifted by scum I’ve got the rose jointed ones mate , that and coil overs I’m sure it’s going to be an unforgiving ride but it’s not built for comfort haha , should handle fine tho , I’ve got an alarm and immobilizer , fuel pump cut off , starter signal cut off both on hidden switches , plus when I used to use it daily id disconnect heaps of sensors and take the dizzy rotor arm off if I was leaving it anywhere , getting an automatrics Mtrack tracker and motion alarm fitted once it’s mot’d , look them up on you tube it’s a seriously impressive system , I’m very aware of how attractive these cars are to thieves I went for gaz coilovers, I like their stuff, polybushes all the way through I also went for the uprated poly diff hanger, h14 arb for the front and a 21mm Scorpio arb for the rear, camber shims to get the rear wheels a bit straighter, strut braces, big brakes, the list goes on, I've built my rep how I would have a genuine, I really need to get a thread started on it The only thing i want to progress to is a 6 degree rear beam but I'm not doing that until it's on road its currently in the body shop getting a bare metal respray I'll look up that alarm it sounds interesting

Never did a thread on it.Bought in 1988(is an 86 2.8I)converted to boa v6 approx 2006 brake conversion etc.Was then stolen about 2.5 years ago from a friends body shop.Car disappeared. Then January this year car was found in a private car park near biggin hill airport car was brought home and the body work restoration is continuing. Sounds an interesting motor, i bet it was crushing to have it stolen after owning it for so long, its brilliant that it was found after that timescale

Love a Capri had mine now 31 years.Did the brakes conversion about 10 years ago nowThis is how I piped mine up.Sorry to see the Sierra broke had turbo technics one for many years. Have you got a thread for your capri? I love capri's have done since I was a little lad helping my dad work on them along with cortinas, Granada etc I've had this one for 10 years I fitted my t piece down on the inner wing on the bulge with hole in the middle, it just needed enlarging slightly for the correct size bolt As with the sierra it really annoyed me as the tensioner was no older than 8 months old when I replaced the lifters, but I suppose you can't help these things, I have picked up a reconditioned head today from a fantastic guy on the fsoc

bookmarked nice thread pal get some more threads going for your other projects wasn't you broken down by Alsager turn off on a500 yesterday was it in a black sapphire similar to you profile pic ?I'm rebuilding my mk2 mex at the moment youll have to have a look at my build Hi bud unfortunately that was me having a failure to proceed, the timing chain tensioner decided to fail whilst I was doing 70, I wouldn't be as peed off as I am with it if the tensioner wasn't less than 8 months old, got recovered then stripped it down It destroyed the head How it's sat waiting for the replacement head A great chap who i speak to from the fsoc has a reconditioned head that he's selling me to get me out of the brown stuff I'm going to get it tomorrow, I'm waiting for the head gasket to come into ford from Germany as well so fingers crossed the weekend and it will be back

I remember getting a ticket in my lunatic days for not wearing a seatbelt even though I was, to be fair I was 18 the officer who was very sound saw me sliding around a roundabout in my e30 at night in the local boy racer haunt, gave me the no seatbelt ticket just so I had a little consequence rather than a full fat dangerous driving and due care meaning my licence would've been gone

I picked up some brake pipe and while it wasn't raining this afternoon I decided to do the drivers side pipe replacement, in typical fashion the lock nuts on the flexi fought me, one of the nuts had virtually no thread left in it so I scrabbled around in my old nuts and bolts to see if I had one, but no joy, that's when I spotted it a lonely ball joint castle nut I saved because it might come in useful, It blooming did, I cut it down to height with a 1mm cutting disk, it well and truly saved my bacon, proceeded to bleed the brakes up with the help of Mrs fp and an eezibleed, in typical fashion I finished as it was raining and light had gone, Mrs fp took a pic but I will take some more, excuse the dirt in the bay, I'm not cleaning until the engines out After she took the pic I sorted the servo pipe etc

Well curse word me it stopped raining this afternoon, so I ran out as quick as I could before the weather had chance to change its mind, I did my best contortionist impression lying in the footwell and removed the old servo and master cylinder, fitted the replacement 2.0 servo and land rover master, found a suitable spot on the inner wing for the t piece, ran new solid pipes to the t piece and from the t piece to the drivers side flexi, replaced the flexi, the old one decided that it didn't want me to undo the locknut on the inner wing so out came the grinder, it soon gave in, i made up a new solid pipe to the caliper while i was there and that was it for today as I lost light and realised I didn't have enough brake pipe to do the long run to the passengers flexi. I'll get some pictures next time I'm out
