my extensive lack of modern jag knowledge fails me at this point, but while last at chez seff in the big city, I saw a modern jag (the mondeo one?) - with some sort of sporty spec, and it was rocking a completely smooth 18" spacesaver, in a very useable 5x120 (4 3/4" chevy) pattern - can jamesp band an 18" do we know? - kev Modern Jags are on a different PCD, cant remember what it is, but the last Jags to have 4.75" PCD are the X300 saloons (so upto 2002) and the original XK8's. The S type, X350 saloon (the all ali one), the new shape XK and the X type all have the smaller PCD. Sean

I think the T5's were upgraded, virtually year on year for the Mustangs, to cope with the ever increasing power of the GT's. So I would imagine buying one would be a right minefield. Every one would be advertised as the stronger box, just like every small block chevy is a 4 bolt 350. Heres one thats a bit off the wall, Getrag 290 5 speed out of a Jag XJ/XJS 4.0 ltr. They were rated at 512 Nm (380 lbs/ft), which is what the straight 6 supercharged XJR's were rated at funnily enough In truth, the XJR's made it a bit more than that (probably around 400 lbs/ft), especially once the supercharger had bedded in. Don't know how easy one would be to find, they also have an integral bell housing, which is a bit of a pain. Sean

Want them for set up purposes, are they "broken" broken, or just damaged?
Also are they are 17s or 18s, I thought they were 18s, but have just realised they did this style in 17 as well (need 18s really)
Are all three good wheels the same style and size?
If they are 18s, how much do you want, and where abouts are you?
Cheers Sean

the one with the box - is it a manual or an auto box? just did a bit of digging and they're all autos apparently. Yeh, its an auto. I bought it with the box, as some people use the bell housing to adapt to manual. Usually a Supra Turbo R154 gearbox, but these are becoming difficult to find. A few people have done the conversion on www.lextreme.com forums Cheers Sean

don't think so, cant believe I would have missed something like that! Do they allow turbo's in Pro-Mod? Or do you need to re-configure your current engine to meet the rules? yes, turbos are allowed. 650ci and twin 91mm's. I have the turbos on order.. ;D Just read your news piece on eurodragster: www.eurodragster.com/news/news.asp?Story=july20#july20So, if you have 2200 brake now, how much will the new engine make? Too much is never enough, aye?

Maybe I should of negotiated a go in the car as part of the price! Are you building it for the same class of racing, or is this going to be in another class? Has the look of a Pro-Mod
