Any suggestions on how to fill the PPC void? There genuinely isn't anything. Retro Cars went, Fast Cars went, PPC now gone. I like the idea of something like 28mag (as per biturbo228 ) for the modified car scene. Other niche hobbies have gone through similar transitions, it has taken cars a long time due to the size of the hobby I expect. When we looked at doing the Retro Rides magazine and tried to Kickstart it we were aiming for the glossy quarterly approach. We dodged a bullet I reckon as it would have launched in April/May 2020! I actually considered also going the other way, proper oldschool Zine type publication, my wife gets a few on various esoteric subjects, they seem to come out infrequently, cost about £8-10*, are all black and white and dense with text. Not sure how that would work for the very visual world of cars. I know someone (maybe tdk ??) was doing a magazine that was mainly stories and not much (if any) photos. *often come with little extras like stickers and such

What happened to it in the end? Believe it ended up with Elo at the London Motor Museum ... so is probably rotting behind a warehouse now.

Chevron B8 but I would have to renew my comp International C licence then first.. One of my favourite cars of all time, if not my very favourite. Interestingly I found out that one of my neighbours in my (very small) village actually has one and races it. Hoping to one day sit in it and make brrrm brrrm noises haha.

I wouldnt mind pottering around in Cornwall in an a60 but I feel like I'm supposed to say something exciting. You know what, everyone has different dreams. I think I shared the totally unobtainable ones. I also dream of driving around in shakotan style 4dr pillarless hardtop Datsun 330C on a summers day with the windows down, full of friends.

My dream drive/bucket list drive is a Group C car of almost any description. I suspect it would be much more of a car than I could honestly get much out of, but the chance to try would be nice. Would have to work up to it though with some track driving practice and suitable lessons I feel.
Other than that on the road I think I'd like to give a Ferrari F40 a go, it was my poster car as a youth.
For modified stuff, Vocks Amazon for sure or Hillmerson Manta, from the early days of RR.

Spotted this at Dragstalgia last week in the Show & Shine. As per usual, I don't really know anything much about it, so any infos others may have would be nice Ooh ooh me, me I know something about this. It won Truck Van Wagon award at Retro Rides Weekender this year. It is running an MX5 engine and air ride. Owned and built by Stylecraft Coachworks www.instagram.com/stylecraft_coachworks/ all the paint work is his, loads of little touches inside too. Excellent thing.

Just a quick update - the event has been postponed until next year now due to external circumstances - apologies for any inconvenience. That is a shame, but make sure you give us a heads up (email me directly if you need to: david (at) retro-rides.org) as we're happy to support however we can.

RETRO RIDES GATHERING 2022 Powered By R-Tech Welding SUNDAY 18th SEPTEMBER MALLORY PARK LE9 7QE TICKETS: £49 Weekend Camping Ticket £15 Early Bird Day Ticket £20 On The Gate Day Ticket >> Buy Tickets Here << The Retro Rides Gathering is on the move again. We're taking our grab bag of madness to the mighty Mallory Park. We will bring together our mix of club stands, track action, invited guest cars, retro parking, trade stands, prizes, good food and our great laid back atmosphere. We're hugely excited for the possibilities that Mallory allows us to explore, with more space, great spectator viewing and a whole new venue to make our own. CLUBS!For club booking we need contact details and an expected number of cars, we will be requesting firm numbers nearer the show and we'd like them to be as accurate as possible. Pre-2000-ish cars (there is a little wiggle room but not much) on your stands please. We would rather people commit to turning up with five cars and arriving with five than tell us they are going to have twenty five and turn up with ten. Our club display is always a great, diverse selection of what makes up the world of retro cars Club space can be booked here: retroridesevents.azurewebsites.net/TRACKTrack applications will open up in mid August. We're massively excited about what we can do at Mallory Park, we've got a few things on the brew at the moment that are very cool, we just need to dot some i's and lowercase j's and then we can do some big announcements Watch this space.

Well this is just rather awesome Not much info on it at the moment (more digging required) it is Chris Mageno from Mageno Kustom's car : www.instagram.com/mageno_kustoms/?hl=en his daily driver apparently. Trying to find a feature or more info, even just some more pictures would be good.

The first one that springs to mind is that slammed green etype on bbs's. But there's loads. Does it need to be a recent build? No it doesn't need to be a recent build but it should be your car. Hope you can enter! Will share this in the next newsletter too

Right now I'm swinging wildly between an early 30's Ford trad rod, a late 30's Chevy or Packard lowrider bomb and a 70's boogie van. Round and round and round I go. I don't need any of them.
