About 5 years ago I wrote into Classic Cars magazine for their Dream Drive feature and then forgot about it after a few months. Surprisingly I got an email from them earlier this year asking if I was still interested, err yes! The car 1963 Aston Martin DB4 was insured for £500K so I was probably a bit tentative in my driving. As well as experiencing the photo-shoot I also got the chance for a walk round at R.S.Williams, which if you're a fan of Aston Martin is like walking round heaven. Driving a £500K car in the wet a few feet off the bumper of the photographers car as he leant out of the boot taking pictures was certainly interesting. What would your dream drive be?

For me it would be another go in a Yank muscle car, probably a Superbird. I had the oportunity to drive a Shelby Mustang in the late 70s when I was still a teen and used to driving a Mk2 Cortina. It was an experience that has stayed with me since. The noise and the power, just increadible.

For me, the Delorean DMC 12. Yes I know they're supposed to be slow and not that nice to drive, but I love the look of the thing. If I ever played and won the lottery, it'd be the first thing I'd buy. I keep looking for ones with a damaged engine for reasonable money that I could swap in something a bit more in keeping with the car.
Prices keep going up and up though, I'll never get that opportunity.

Actually not bad to drive at all, they go pretty well, not fast (particularly by todays standards) but plenty quick enough for modern traffic. In answer to the op question though, not too dissimilar to your choice, but just one digit up, I’d go DB5

Wow, what a great opportunity! Mine would be a countach or early diablo, childhood dream cars for me. Though I imagine both to be actually pretty awful to drive.

My dream drive would be a Group B Rally car. Probably a MG Metro 6R4 or Lancia 037.

Nearly bought a Delorean once, didn't think I would get the use out of it. Could only see me driving it from time to time.

An Iso Grifo Lusso has been at the top of my lottery list since I was 12 years old, closely followed by a 66 Pontiac GTO. Either of those would be my dream drive, despite the risk of "meeting my heroes"
In a long career in the motor trade, i've driven fast cars, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, etc, Iconic cars like the Superbird and DB6 Aston, posh cars like RR, Bentley and even a Mercedes Grosser. I've owned an E type (disappointing, but it was rough old thing) and an Alpine Tiger (lots of power, but very nose heavy) so i'm not expecting perfection from either, but since both are well beyond my means, a drive would be nice!

I’ve driven many things, from an Aventador to a vanquish, Porsche, Ferrari etc and a few rally cars on short stages (Mitsubishi evo, Sierra cosworth, mk2 rs2000) but group b or wrc spec is something I’d like a go in.

Having owned one for many yrs there are literally thousands of quotes & you know what? Everyone one who says them thinks they are the first to say it. Trust me you are not, not even close

When I got married my bother in law lent me his 912 and my good lady wife and I took a rather special drive from Cape Town to Hermanus along Clarence Driven over St Lowerys pass ending up in Hermanus. I would love to replicate this drive in either a) 73 RS if I was doing the drive alone b) 73 Targa if I was being accompanied by Lady P. If you ever get the chance to drive this route, do so. It is spectacular. P.

^^^^ Great drive, I did it in less auspicious surrounds (a rental Corsa B) with a couple of mates back in 2006.
