norm75 Chapmans Peak ends at where we had a holiday home for a number of years, Noordhoek. A great drive and a great pub at the Hout Bay end - The Chapmans Peak Hotel, the sea food platter is a thing to behold. I fear it might have gone slightly upmarket from the last time I was there. I think your Toyota mini bus would have been a safer option than my BIL's very rotten Alfasud Estate... P. D

For me, its real world, fantasy and excitement.
Real world? So much choice but I'd say a properly sorted, original, late spec Rover P6 3500S down to and around the alps.
Fantasy? A Ferrari F40 along a deserted Amalfi coast. On a cool day...
Exciting? A Grp 4 Mk2 Escort, a Quattro S1 and a forest stage all to myself, all day.
For a bike? The NC500 and a Honda VFR400 NC30.

D Yes, been there to the pub at Houts bay, I don’t like seafood but my wife and friends we were with had the seafood platter. They also ended up in the kitchen giving the chef a recipe for a mussels dish, not sure if it made it on to the menu or not!

I'd absolutely love a drive in a Lancia Stratos on a tarmac of forest stage. My number one car of all time.

My dream drive/bucket list drive is a Group C car of almost any description. I suspect it would be much more of a car than I could honestly get much out of, but the chance to try would be nice. Would have to work up to it though with some track driving practice and suitable lessons I feel.
Other than that on the road I think I'd like to give a Ferrari F40 a go, it was my poster car as a youth.
For modified stuff, Vocks Amazon for sure or Hillmerson Manta, from the early days of RR.

I think I shared the totally unobtainable ones. I also dream of driving around in shakotan style 4dr pillarless hardtop Datsun 330C on a summers day with the windows down, full of friends.

For a 'modern' supercar a F40 would be my choice, but the closest I'll ever get is the 1:18 Bburago model I've got I remember a Haynes Sunday breakfast meet where there was a F40 and an Aston V8 Zagato present, would be a tough choice between them.

Chevron B8 but I would have to renew my comp International C licence then first.. Looking at road cars a G model Porsche 911 Speedster and some Swiss Alpine Pass would do Thom

I remember about 15 or 20 years ago standing outside my house next to the A272 and a black but very dirty and shoddy looking AM zagato drove passed and the engine was knocking like the clappers and smoke was billowing out the back of it. I did wonder why it was being killed and not on a tow truck.

Chevron B8 but I would have to renew my comp International C licence then first.. One of my favourite cars of all time, if not my very favourite. Interestingly I found out that one of my neighbours in my (very small) village actually has one and races it. Hoping to one day sit in it and make brrrm brrrm noises haha.

Yes i would
I also forgot about the Lancia Stratos always love the shape and could not believe when they said they were going to rally them... fantastic looking car with a great sound blasting through the forests..
Also the original Ferrari 250 SWB California, always remember seeing one in Black in Goodwood, stunning looking car and I'm not a convertible lover but that car is something else. That on the coast road from LA to SF would be fantastic, ive driven the road but only in a Hire car.

I've done real GT40 race car and early 70s 911 RS race car at pace on the road, joys of been the shortest person in the workshop, so something like that again but in a different racing car would be excellent. If anybody is stuck for a fairly short driver with little consideration for his licence, and a car that they need to find out whether it'll do a redline 3-4 shift 24 hours before it's due on the grid at Le Mans I'm your man.
