Hot Wheels is looking for a UK fan built car that it can recreate as one of its diecast toy cars.
The panel will be looking for a modified vehicle in the UK that best embodies Hot Wheels performance, authenticity and ‘garage spirit’. Last year's winner was the Ain't no Saint Volvo Gasser that will be available as a toy in shops here at the end of the year. The winner was invited to New York with Hot Wheels to reveal the model.
The UK finalists will be judged by Helen Stanley, Jonny Smith and car designer Ian Callum CBE. The winner will be announced on Car Throttle’s YouTube Channel in early October. The UK finalist will then face other winners from around the world. This year the overall winner and one of the regional finalists for a chance to be produced as die-cast models, doubling the chance of a UK entrant being successful.

That Volvo Gasser is definitely on my 'to find' list! Another vote for the Anglia, 'Misfit'. The most recent iteration seemed to divide opinion with its front end but it seems to have had several different looks. I think this is the cleanest...

It would be cool to have tin can alice as a hotwheels, but I didn't build her so I won't be entering haha! Not to mention she's still engine-less

Never mind that Beetle traveller braaap it's that chopped up Anglia I want to see This wasn't meant too serious since it's a marmite car and probably not radical enough for a HW model car (as are that tin can alice skoda or Pid...s suggestion). It was the first that sprung to my mind.
I don't know a lot of well-known british custom cars and I'm not going to suggest something stupid like Leepoos swan taxi, although it would surely make a good fantasy hot wheels toy car. I remember some Rolls Royce Silver Shadow (I guess) in flat paint with big wheels, but that's probably not special enough for a hw model either. So You are probably right with that anglia. btw. has Fish'd&Chip'd a real car as an archetype? That's one of the coolest HW models I know. But they already did that.
edit: now I know one: I saw a photo of a slammed green commer van with some orange juice or soda brand on it! That would me my suggestion. Does anybody have a video of it at hand?

Hope you can enter! I've never owned anything anywhere near suitable, I'm just thinking of a car I'd like to see in miniature. A blue and white 16/60 eh pid?

I got to look round the finalists one year at SEMA. The quality and, more importantly, the imagination that had gone into the builds was absolutely staggering. Will certainly be watching the youtube videos for this years competition!

So they want a uk car…a car built entirely at home ? A car still owned by the same man since the 70s?? Only one car will suffice Winston sewells p5 rover coupe

I was expecting Henry Hirise to be nominated by You, Mercdan68. But the volvo was already a gasser, I doubt HW will do one again so soon.

If they did that id have quite afew very quickly. Same with medusa, which tbh looks more like a hotwheels already. my vote, in a similar vein to the p5, if it were to happen, would make me very skint very quickly.
