What's that rack for? Ski's? They are!! Our drunken vision was In the style of this Using the US Ski Team logo's instead of the roundels with the number 53. After a few to many pints of a local breweries finest we thought this would look great. We can only try now as its amazing what you can buy from ebay, cafepress, amazon and redbubble.

Having fitted an abd into both a saloon and then a breadvan I can offer some advice. You will want a 1.3l ecu, throttle body, inlet manifold and injector. It will run on the 1.0 ecu but not very well.

I read somewhere you needed to swap back to the 1.0 throttle body as the throttle cable on the golf was on the opposite side. Just been into garage and checked both engines and cable attachment is on same side, so all I need is a 1.3 engine control unit.

Just nipped across the other side of city and relieved my wallet of £2.00. Didn't realise how heavy ski's were! My other ebay tat purchase, may not come to anything. I have been constantly outbid on ski helmets. Why ski helmets? The stereo in Gilbert is poor to say the least, so new speakers up front and more up the back. I don't want to cut holes on the parcel shelf. I have another pair of skis coming my way that I was going to cut up and lay on parcel shelf, fix ski helmets to skis making ski helmet speaker pods. Getting ski helmets for a quid is proving difficult.

Never mind the stickers I like your dog. I've got a couple Whippets myself. I inherited Sam a few years back when my father in law passed away. At first I thought he was incredibly stupid but now realise he is a dog genius. Gotta ask do your Whippets have to be covered by a blanket? This is how Sam spends his working day. He was a rescue dog so has separation issues and comes to work with me. Great dogs if you don't like walks he just buggers off home when he gets bored of chasing the ball down the park. Third delivery of the day!

4th delivery, still my large logos to arrive! This one does confuse me slightly as sure it was meant to be one set of skis. Three sets of skis plus six ski poles! Edited to add. Ski Pole gear lever or is this just getting really stupid!

Oh yes our two have to be snuggled under a blanket. We got fed up with early morning howls to put their blankets back over them so we bought Cosy Caves. Think of a dog sized sheepskin lined pitta breads and you get the idea. Sad but true. Anything for a good nights sleep. They're known as velcro dogs as they don't want to leave your side, especially males. Wouldn't be without them though. Sam looks a cracker. Enjoy him I wouldn't have any other dog.

My current rear tyres are snow tyres, the only cheap 145 70 13 I could find were snow tyres. It sort of spiralled outa control. Sky pole handle gear lever, screw on so easily reversible. I need one of those cosy caves, maybe with ensuite facilities 2.50am I was up letting him out!

Pleae clip your dogs nails.... I have learnt over the last two years with Sam you need broad shoulders. He has his nails clipped every 4 weeks. Unfortunately they are naturally long and I'd rather not cut into the quick like some owners. I have been accused of neglecting him because he has a bald patch on his tail, for this he has his glands cleared every 8 weeks. Been told whilst out I'm neglecting him as he's underfed, actually he's overweight and getting a natural scavenger to diet is a pain. He has even learnt how to flick the handle on the food waste bin, so it's unlocked then uses his nose to open the lid. We don't use the food waste bin anymore. Also told constantly he has a lump on his front quarter, yep I know have been reassured by the vet, it's nothing to worry about but I had a biopsy done on it anyway. Just a fatty lump and being between 11 and 12 he will get them. Finally i don't walk him to the shops anymore after my 10 year old got grief whilst I was in the shop and he was accused of letting Sam get to cold. He's highly strung and shakes constantly if I leave him. Whippets are great but sometimes misunderstood. Back to cars. Looking at the throttle body on the ABD engine the butterfly opens clockwise, on the Polo anti clockwise anyone got a picture of the cable linkage on an ABD engine. Edit... I'm confusing myself now which one goes which way but they are different. Thermostat housing definitely needs to be swapped Polo has two sensor plugs, one going to engine control unit, other to temperature gauge. ABD only has one going to engine control. Crank Pully definitely different, engine mounts need to be swapped. Think I'm nearly ready to transplant apart from gaskets and an exhaust to connect to a manifold which I need to check will actually fit.

Well that explains it, really long cable that loops across the rocker, Polo is just a short cable through bulkhead.

Sam sounds like our Alfie. Even the vet can't cut his nails without drawing blood. He has a cyst on his belly as well which is only fatty deposits. He's also a complete snatch and grab sneak thief. All male Whippets must be the same. Our female Whippet is a perfect angel by comparison.
Back to cars found myself looking at ann ad for a breadvan and a fox coupe. Must resist.

A 1.3 throttle body is what you want.
