LOTS to still do and the more shiny parts you put on the more the mucky/rusty parts look bad. I’m resisting a full resto on this as I really really wanna drive it and have some fun first.
Brakes to buy next which are bloody expensive! But kinda necessary haha
More piccies back end of week showing welding done but for now a quick start of the engine minus exhausts, who needs them anyway!

A recent trip to Holland I spotted these two on my travels, I refuse to believe they are solely for the Footballers and Reality TV stars although they seem to be the price of a small house! So so cool, I'd love to hear the good and the bad about 'G' ownership from anyone on here

needs fuel lines running and some split line thingy that we didn't realise we needed. it will run next week FACT. Then I need to sell a leg or kidney and pony up for a disc brake conversion kit, rear drum rebuild kit. rest of sheet metal here Monday so end of next week should see some BIG progress, just in time for Chrimbo

GN/Dez. I respect both opinions, you both seems masters in your own fields. it's good the site has different views too, makes life interesting.
Rest of the sheet metal will be collected next Monday, new carb delivered Friday and seat cover set (small fortune) ordered too. things are moving along just nicely
Photo updates next week

Thanks Grenade, I think again it's important to point out this car had one foot in the scrap yard before I decided to orchestrate a mild resto. I wanted a driver not a trailer queen which is exactly what this will be when done. I 150% believe in my resto man's ability as i've seen the cars he restores for a living but it's also comforting to see some clever people on here seeing his skills too. updates will follow soon chaps, thanks again Loving this. I'm 100% with you on not going mad and making it a driver. I restored mine to perfection (and took 11 years doing it) and basically now to scared to use it. 1500 miles in 8 years Roger please insert a photo of your Charger here so I can drool and look at what may never be for mine haha

Are you still doing the 68 Charger as coverage of the progress seams to have dried up?
Peter, lots of boring mechanical parts ordered and arrived, but waiting for the last few body panels has stopped 'play' so to speak, progress should resume next week when I have the parts in my hands cheers!

I'm a regularish visitor to the States so see these and the Chargers in the flesh, I really do think they've done a good job bringing a classic back, most revival cars are shocking but I genuinely do like the new Chargers/Challengers

Hopefully the photos show this isn't a typical C10, it's loud, brash and quite in your face. The exhaust sound is unreal and when driven like it should be literally screams down the road. SBC V8 with a 4sp Manual, its a drivers truck not a quiet tame auto that potters along. It's had plenty of niggly jobs done but there's still a few to tie up which should keep it interesting enough to own and not just take on someone else's completed truck. The truck can't hide any horrors as it was bare metalled before I took it and a patina look with killer pin striping added. Minor rust on cab bottoms which is usual, fear not, repair cab corners are readily available from Rock Auto etc Owned for a few years now. Bench seat has been recovered and looks great, super comfy to sit on too !! Located in Doncaster So what's it need: twin pulley as the engine although amazing and trouble free runs from 1 belt as that's what came with the Power steering set up I added. Speedo cable if it bothers you, I always just used a GPS speedo app Door locks looking at, driver door closes fine but the passenger door needs adjustment Anything else really is now owner preference in my opinion. 'What you selling for then if it's that awesome' ?? Answer is I've bought a Charger, it's eating up all my time and money and I want to concentrate on that project. Thanks for looking, any questions drop me a message ================================================= I've nothing to hide with this truck, I love it, I love coming home onto my drive and seeing it there but the Charger (thread on here in Readers Rides) is gobbling my time and money faster than a fat kid in a cake shop. I don't want to keep both and rather than just letting the truck sit outside not being loved it makes sense to let it go to someone as eager as I was before I got the Charger I don't 'need' to sell, it won't kill me financially if it doesn't sell, it just seems the most sensible option to concentrate on one classic at a time that's all.

we all like pics right? Good progress made by Steve & team this week, we'll soon be on to the proper stuff like hearing it purr for more than 23.4 seconds soon. And as Frieburger said the only reason to own a Charger, that fuel cap brrrrrrrr Wait, is that a full car now ??!! Can this hosting machine take slo mo videos too? I have the sexiest slo mo of the fuel cap opening..................oh, just me then?? I'll get my coat........................

Darkspeed - my poor estate car can agree the panels weighed more, I did wonder what the hell I was doing putting razor sharp panels in my car and with the boot tied half shut with panels hanging out at 80mph on the M62 home. all went well thankfully
Jyd - no idea on colour yet, I've no real clue what lies ahead costs wise with engine/suspension yet. The interior seat covers are a measly $1500 before shipping and fitting over here (wide eyed emoji please) so it'll probably not get painted any time soon haha

A day late but here's one side done, inner sill treated then outer sill welded in, floor pan welded in. Just waiting on the rear floor pan piece which until the pan was out we didn't realise this was even a part. we're all learning here! Passenger side tomorrow. Annoying part is having to wait for parts, Summit lied about a cross member so I cancelled then re ordered elsewhere and they've just delayed on another manufacturer despite saying 'ships today' grrrrrrrrr Wiring loom supplier and hopefully reupholster man sorted too so still moving along at a brisk rate of knots haha OH and yes I agree with all the comments, its bloody HUGE
