Well despite world madness I somehow managed to get an exhaust fitted haha Various obstacles prevented start up, no battery, heater core thingy not hooked up so it pees water into the passenger footwell, all solvable but I REALLY wanted to hear it running. Disc break conversion going on next week, brake lines, engine tuned etc etc then I might be able to drive the bloody thing!

He’s a friend so wouldn’t be offended at finding a return route, sounds like Shipley has the monopoly then?

Just after a bit of advice really.
My C10 is going from Yorkshire to Brighton on Wednesday hopefully and I was trying to get the delivery chap a return route to absorb some costs, are there any more specific pages or forums I can advertise this on?
I know times are crazy and options and movement is super limited so may be pointless but just wondered
Thanks

Fantastic build. Certainly it will be a nice driver. I like the blue interior; makes it stand out also in that area. Thank you. I've all new interior but it's stuck in Florida waiting on the next container delivery. the outside will be the original blue one day when they accept organ donor as payment for fresh paint haha

Good choice that. Just to complicate things, satin, matt or gloss? I want it to look shiny like Clem's so I presume that's gloss ? painters will guide me i'm sure

This is the one I've chosen, or at least a slight variation on it, its gone to the painters and will be discussed in detail this week but just wanted to say a huge thanks for everyones input and suggestions, it's been great to see peoples thoughts and has really helped me make one of the biggest car choices of my life haha Thanks RR'ers

I'm pleasantly surprised at how many Porsche examples have been put on this thread.
BLACK was my first choice but didn't know if it was toooo safe?
Nardo Grey has been mentioned by the painter, they do lots of modern cars as well as resto's so do know the market.
Despite my comments the Orange one made me go 'wow' which I didn't expect at all

I think that photo is heavily filtered, if anyone can photoshop colours to give me an idea of end result I'll happily pay for their time too.

I've never been in this position in my life and its equally daunting and really exciting at the same time. Next week my Trekker will be painted, I take absolutely no credit for its current condition, it's been lovingly brought back from a rust bucket to basically a new vehicle, it's why I bought it. So, whilst I fully get the 'it's your car paint it what colour you like' I'd love some input from like minded individuals, to help it will not be going Red as I dislike red cars, and it won't be going a crazy lime green or tango orange. I'm aiming for a timeless colour if possible, I'll be looking on pre67 for inspo too Suggest away please

Any news on this one? Keen to see the next instalment... As am I jamisie!! sadly the one part (crossmember) from AMD has had false delivery promises 3 times from two different suppliers now, its the final bit of big metal to go under the car to button up the underneath so effectively has stopped play. I forgot I had the Royal Mail 'you owe us customs monies" letter for my missing seat braces so they should arrive shortly now i've paid it haha. Interior covers ordered and just deciding which brake set to order and stick in a container, then I can think about colours/paint but it'll be kinda determined by the interior remaining the OG blue, it saves a lot of $$$ on all new interior parts. lots of moving parts behind the scenes trying to get things lined up, you realise when something isn't available from Rock Auto what an utter Ball ache it is buying anything from any of the other suppliers, they make it so hard to order and deliver in a sensible timescale for anything less than the price of a mortgage, but if all this was that easy we'd all be restoring old $hit boxes wouldn't we !! back soon with piccies and progress
