Well done !! Will definitely need to keep us updated on this one . Spec sheet & driving experience please . 👍 Thanks Not much spec to speak of really, the only option you can get is a first aid/safety pack & I didnt order that lol. Had my first proper drive of it this morning, still not supposed to use the redline so havent been doing that. However, even not fully ringing it's neck the hype is real. I would be surprised if anything was faster down a b road, it's ridiculous.

THOSE EASILY OFFENDED BY MODERN CARS, LOOK AWAY NOW So I got a unexpected phone call last week: Toyota - do you want a black one? Me - erm, Yes? Toyota - come pick it up Tuesday So I did Havent really had much chance to drive it other than home, was rather ill at the weekend and still not quite right. Looking forward to getting out in it when it's not chucking it down & in city centre traffic. I wasnt expecting that phone call tbh & had pretty much given up on the idea of getting one. I expect this to be the last brand new car I get & I'm ok with that.

After recently fixing a mower for my wifes uncle, spark plug & clean the carb - should be good to go. So little to them in reality.
But don't use a 900nm impact to crank the engine over... it turns out to be a fast way of snapping a crank shaft. Lukily the engine was already broken (the casting for the dynamo was sheared off) and a good used engine for £15 delivered had it sorted lol.

If you can get it that low then the 15's with low pro tyres would look perfect.

Hope it finds a good home, I cant get away with any more car's atm lol Well, at least with this one you can sleep in it when your Mrs throws you out... Haha, she's already mad at me today for spending 3hrs trying to sort car insurance out & she's going to be even more so tomorrow as she's got to take me to pick another car up

All I’d do with that is burn it!! I was rather ill and sleep deprived at the weekend & forgot I posted it lol. To be honest, the parts would be worth most of the asking price. Haha, I don't quite get why it's got a Corrado bumper.

The van was probably stolen as well. I also thought that, hopefully they weren't that clever

This white Renault van was used to tow the Capri away. The Capri was covered to disguise it. Towing a covered car not on a trailer should be suspicious in itself. It probably wasn't towed very far. There is a travellers site 0.6 miles away, but I doubt anyone steeling car car would be that daft.

Boring update, just ordered a shed load of dodo sound insulation for Mrs's car (it's a Peugeot Partner Teepe, which is the MPV version of the van & it's still van like noise on the motorway), will post some updates on that as all interior will be coming out. Still no update on a GR

I'd be interested to see how low the chassis sits with no springs or shocks at all - just to see if you can achieve the drop your after. I possibly can see a way to get a free 2-3" drop front and rear by moving a couple of things that I wouldnt post pictures of on the internet if you did it But I would do it before painting the chassis I'd say it's subtle enough to look original as well

But that would mean a new chassis to get a reasonable ride height and IVA, I think of this more along the lines of a vintage car such as a special based on a austin 7 or even an original jeep, with a live axle and floppy chassis. This ^^^ Using the engine, gearbox, wiring, dash instruments, column/switchgear, and anything else that makes sense to do, like wiper motor, heater blower etc. makes a huge amount of sense, but getting into subframe swaps and major chassis mods, with the spectre of IVA (actually the inevitability of it given the build is being done in public on a forum), is the kind of "project creep" that takes a quick, cheap, fun endeavour and turns it into a nightmare. I thought you could add to an existing chassis but not take away? There looks to be plenty of room for the rear subframe to mount and give about a 12" drop. Or is it a points thing?

I assume the plan is to fit the engine and box complete with all the mazda electrics and loom. Should only take a couple of days! Not sure, but doesn´t the mx5 has sub frames, that could be integrated into the rznrckt strategically for a proper slam? It's what I would do, also use the full loom and as much of the dash as possible from the mx5. Would save loads of time chasing electrical issues. Added benefit of being able to scan it with a obd reader

LOL - the mice are stealing your broadband connection! Thanks, appreciate it. Guess I'd have to make up a cable as I bet they don't come in 60+ foot lengths - that'll be fun what with me being colour blind! Dead easy, if you want a cable run 2 lol. Get some cat5e or cat6 cable on a reel, run it between the house and garage and terminate them into a twin wall mount box at each end. Don't worry about max length as it's 100m

Just re-read this and I may have made it overly complicated. I was thinking you might want room for more connections.
If all you need to achieve atm is more ports in your son's room then a 5 port gb switch would be fine and a good one is only £15.

Ah ok. That a good way to do it👍 Cheers. Once you get your head around it, it's not too bad. Router > Switch > Patch panel > cable to room
