Depending on what year the Volvo is, it might be MOT exempt anyway This is one of the many reason why I believe mot exemption for older cars is a bad idea. Yea, MOT exemption to some is seemingly exemption from minimum road worthiness standards. Not all cars will be maintained to a high enough standard to actually mean they are safe one year to the next. I haven't owned an exempt car, only tax exempt at the time, and even if I did I would still just happily pay to know that my vehicle had been inspected by another set of eyes once a year. People thinking it's a badge of honour to save themselves £45 a year. Not everyone sees it like that of course, not pointing any fingers anywhere, and some people are very sensible.

Got the radio gear working and set the gearshift and steering servos back up. Threw in a TBS mini I had previously programmed to go in my WPL URAL4320 just for the noise. Chuffed with that!

Enough arguing over whether we like or loath the DVLA please. That is not within the MO. This is. Saw this earlier, quite like how it looks if i'm honest. http://instagr.am/p/CXE21mUoBM6

Gah did it have a buy it now? No, was cheaper when I linked it but no BIN. Just got to look for poor listings and whatnot. I found that one window shopping for trailers on eBay. They do pop up from time to time.

Another thing that can cause a long pedal is a flexihose (Or several of them) past their best and ballooning slightly under pressure. Is this not an mot failure or at the very least an advisory? I've had wof failures for it here in New Zealand. Yes, if a tester can spot it. A lot of MOT test bays run unassisted these days so it’s hard to spot issues like that on your own sadly.

You want something around a 2.2-2.7ohm resistor inserted into the plug for the drivers airbag wiring to make the lamp function as intended. adding relays and botching wiring is just additional work when a resistor is pence and easily installed or removed with no harm done to the instruments or wiring. So clever, yet simple. No moe Maplins, so needs a Plan B I guess. Then some fumbling in the dark, trying to find the hole. I have one of these at work. For diagnostic purposes obviously, allows quick diag of line or squib fault, but it's handy to determine what one you want to install and comes with sets of resistors. You pin it into the plug, dial it into a resistance and cycle the ignition letting the SRS ECU self check and if your lamp goes out, bingo. That's the one you need. I would imagine it will self check itself as ok if it sees the correct resistance.

That thing still exists?! If memory serves me correct didn't this pass through KFW hands about 10 years ago? I’m sure it’s been Kev’s up until Chops got it?

Yeah E39 wheels fit XJ40s, but not so much other BMWs because of the centrebore (Jag is 73.8mm centrebore, most BMWs are 72.56mm, E39s are 74.1mm). You can get centrebores machined out if you need to though. As others have said, 5x120 is within the manufacturing tolerances of 5x120.65 wheels. I'm a basketweave man myself for XJ40s, and have picked up a set of Japan Racing JR9s which look similar to the 16" optional lattices, just in 17" instead. Not got them fitted yet, but they sat fine. 74.1mm centrebore. Actual thread is from 2011. A tyre retailer has bumped it.

Wow, that is huauge! I always wondered what these were like in real life. How is the 3-speed gearbox operated? Is it done by a servo or just manually set it in a gear? Edit: this looks unbelievably complicated! They are indeed huge. Gearbox is servo controlled, so I’ll need to set it up with my transmitter. Hoping to use my wheel and trigger setup than moving to twin stick, and not have quite a complicated setup. The system I have coming has an app for Bluetooth control. You can get a CVT transmission for these too which is interesting.

That's a good point, I really don't want to be hooked into a subscription or constant updates either, I've absolutely no need for it to be up to date with every new model that comes out. It’s not always ‘new model’ updates. Often there is backwards compatibly updates in terms of dealer features. Launch units often get you a two year update subscription but after that the unit continues to be a functional scanner at the level of last updates so you don’t ‘lose out’ on backwards functionality in as much as the machine doesn’t stop working when your sub ends.

It’s in the build booklet for the trailer as a suggested load I didn't know that! You can keep an eye open for a bargain Hauler for me too Seen a few cheapish ones through my local clubs but still £400-500 for just a tractor and they are nearly always European units, Scania R line etc. I think I got quite lucky, although I think the US units are less popular anyway compared to the licensed cab over designs. Mind you the KH tractor kit is only (only, lol) around £375 as a kit without RC gear.

Sod all that. Some really good thorough walk round videos, a video call with the owner and that gives me everything I need to know to just send my truck man. I’m too busy for all that these days. I bought my bus without even seeing it like that, and it’s perfect…. Well perfect for me anyway. Another man who has his garage carpeted!! Can't beat a bit of carpet, eh! Also have a carpet in the garage although it's all just old carpet from the house so I'm not precious over it. So much nicer to kneel/lie on than concrete.

No such thing as a three month AA warranty. I sell them and the Minimum the AA sell is 1 year administered by WMS group. Your legal statutory rights are a 6 (not 3) month return to vendor warranty. Within the first 3 months you are within your rights to return the vehicle if faulty for a refund. A petrol 2012 mini doesn’t have a timing belt either unless there is some version I don’t know about.
