See also: graffiti paint, I use Montana Black, which is semi-gloss satin, available in a multitude of colours, and Montana White, a high gloss, again, many colours. Quicker, easier and a better out-of-the-box finish than a roller. Gloss Satin

You have to be off site Sunday evening. No camping into Monday I’m afraid.

Some of these photos would be great to replicate on a 00 gauge railway layout. Shame I had to dismantle mine when I moved house, so much inspiration. 😃 A quick edit for ya Truck needs weathering but it also needs it's nameplate transfers too.

Really enjoying the photos, echo the sentiment when I say thanks for sharing. Funnily enough me and Corbs were just discussing the Bhcc Iron Fairy cranes as I have just got one of the old Matchbox ones to dress up for my industrial yard 00 railway layout

15 inch tyres for 10J wheelsRich

Ive got 225/50 on my Vitara, they're pretty stretched but legal. Going to 195/50 during the rebuild to give it more of a West Coast vibe. I'd argue they were outside construction and use regs, most tyre manufacturers state nothing more the 8J for 225 section tyres. Also, what if I want to fit them to an 8KJ wheel? Why does the rim profile have anything to do with it? You mean 8” not 8J. Lol, sorry, couldn’t help it. 🤣 as you were.

Car Stories You Were Told. Rich

I’ve heard that same story…..but it was a Morris marina😁 Which makes me wonder if it's actually an urban myth? Edit- just read carledo's post, maybe not! Probably not an urban myth at all. If parts are not available on the production line for the car specifications they are building they will stick the next available part on to keep the line moving and it should be picked up at dealer level on PDI. Can you imagine shutting down an entire production plant because the NS RHD headlamp bin is empty? 😆 I’ve heard stories of mixed solid and vented discs, left hand drive headlamps, all sorts. It does happen and there is a reason.

Get Comma antifreeze, it’s available in most Halfords, I’ve used it exclusively after I think ChasR recommend it when I was having water pump issues on my E28. It lasts well and it holds off corrosion beautifully. Coolant in my Jeep is spotless. Worth the money. Not that it’s expensive.

Don’t watch that Skunk Anansie video where she absolutely trashes an E28 5 series… 😢 This one you mean? Indeed that’s the one

Apologies for missing that you were ‘missing’ wiring, I didn’t intentionally ignore that or be contentious, I genuinely missed in your post. That said, I still don’t find it odd that it doesn’t come with any instruction or a check list. I do find it odd it appears to be short of wires though. As Glen said, what ‘spare’ colours have you got?

Look at it this way, if I order a new loom from an OE manufacturer (and I have, I replaced the front half harness on a berlingo) you don’t get that, you don’t get a parts list, instructions, help, anything. This is just the way it is, in the same way you don’t get info on specific fittings of brake pads, or cam belts, etc. It’s just the way it is, if it’s an aftermarket upgrade part or similar, yea, I’d expect info, like my Azzys shift linkage for my Jeep but a loom is an ‘OE’ part, it fits as OE.
Anyway, that said, keep plodding away and before you know it it’ll be done and you’ll have a huge sense of satisfaction from knowing it’s done, done once and forever.

Usually on a 3 wire you’ll have the main battery feed, an exciter terminal (dash bulb) and a switched ignition on feed as a sense wire. I’m not 100% sure but I don’t think the NA MX5 uses smart charging but my 1997 DW Demio alternator does.

Aha! Bruce mentioned the new small human. Seeing this thread I’ve suddenly got massive small family camping envy! I’ve got a first local camping trip planned with mine, by cargo bike in the usual 1970s tent. Once his feet are wet I reckon he’ll be good for something a bit more adventurous. Both of our smol hoomans seemed to very much enjoy the camping funtimes. Hope yours does too, then we can get together That would be splendid!

Hi apologies if this isn’t the place for this. Stumbled across your thread because I’ve got the same stereo in my Impreza and it’s being an absolute pig to get out. I don’t suppose you remember any special tricks from almost 4 years ago? Cheers Not specifically but some of these units needed the ignition switched on to be able to remove the unit with the radio keys. Mine didn’t put up a fight to remove but I do have a master set of radio keys so that probably helped. Try with the unit powered if possible, in case it is a model with the theft prevention interlock.
