Grinders seem to fall into two distinct categories The quick and dead and the long runners. One of mine is over 20 years old, the spares have died in weeks or days. I hear ya there...this one was nothing special, but lasted quite a while...I used it for many projects and it lasted a good 3 years....I could probably rebuild it if I can find the parts...but I just don't think its worth it..... JP Two modifications i make to power tools are, Open them up and fill gears and bearings with grease, since most are assembled dry. Replace the standard short cable with a longer one, saves tripping over the extension reel Ttfn Glenn

Since you need a cable for the reverse selector, how about a trigger on the gearstick, similar to the old style brake levers or maybe fit a solenoid and button control. Ps am stealing the parts drawing link Ttfn Glenn

399 for all three parts but with trade card reduced to 302, but suddenly the deal looses the free middle chest. One of the other offers almost doubles in price, So keep an eye on what the deal includes Ttfn Glenn

Started with an unbranded, push button mono radio connected to the standard beetle dash speaker, this was later upgraded with the addition of an unbranded cassette player, mounted under the dash, pumping a massive 4 ways per channel through a pair of 4inch plastic shelf speakers. A friends first ice was was a roberts style portable radio which fitted into a slide mount under the dash, connecting it to power and the aerial, when pulled out it used internal aerial and battery Ttfn Glenn
