I hope we get an update on this. It's not one you could easily hide! And most of all, I hope the owner gets it back asap!

The used tyres being dumped points towards an organized gang, they collect tyres from garages posing as a proper disposal firm and but cheaper, then fly tip and pocket the cash. Ttfn glenn

Or people who damage a lot if tyres in there chosen motor sport? I would be looking at who has access to the place and there friends as well as any people that go there for work.
You don't just Stumble across a car like that or is it like the escort that disappeared despite being if the road for years and was found to have Bern searched for on the dvla database countless times from Ireland?

I hope we hear some good news on this. Id certaily be wondering what sort of person has the nessasary equipment needed to remove a car with no wheels on it (ie lift it?), and who would have a load of used tyres to dump.

Or possibly just coincidence that they were fly tipping the tyres and stubbled across the Capri? Obviously some kind of dodgy waste removal company so possibly took it to weigh in?

That's what I've taken from it, they got lucky with the unit they dumped the tyres in & lifted it. Been off the road since 1989 & not showing on askMid as being insured

If it was in a open or unlocked warehouse then its no surprise . Can't see people breaking into a warehouse to dump tyre though ! I reckon someone was snooping and saw it , and his mates van or whatever was full of tyres so they decided to kill two birds with ine stone .

DVLA were made aware of that auction several months ago so if it is registered then the flag that is in place against it will flash up & will hopefully be investigated
