Going to install the brake pipes at the weekend, and are going to run the back ones along the trailing arms and then fit a bulkhead on a bracket on the frame and run solid lines back to the front. ![](https://i.imgur.com/mrc6BjE.jpg) Was thinking that we should weld a couple of studs onto the arms (upside down bolts, then we can fit the p-clips and a nut on top. Thought this because drilling and tapping a couple of m5 holes seems wrong..... but is it (it would be marginally tidier) Or is there a better option that I’ve missed? Thanks

Are the arms box section, if they are, then a couple of tapped holes can also be used to inject rust proofing.

Yeah, they are a hollow section
I think they are probably open at the wheel end, but not once the bearings and houses have been installed

How about using cable tie saddles, could be screwed/ riveted or glued in place then matching or contrasting ties used Ttfn Glenn

Drill and tap or even just some tek screws will be fine. Them arms are pretty thick steel.

I'd prefer to keep the flexible hoses to a minimum so I'd add a bracket each end to accept the end of a hose and run a hard line along the arm, two or three clips as mentioned, I've seen nice cable tied hardline clips on french stuff.

I'd prefer to keep the flexible hoses to a minimum so I'd add a bracket each end to accept the end of a hose and run a hard line along the arm, two or three clips as mentioned, I've seen nice cable tied hardline clips on french stuff. Seconded. You'd need a flexi to/from the caliper as it's a sliding one (plus makes life easier when servicing!) - to somewhere around the bump stop (but the other side of where you have that line currently), then another one (probably from just before the bend before the arm bush) onto the "chassis". I know it sounds counter-intuitive to add another joint but hardlines stay put a bit better than flexis - IMHO.

Had the lines made up now, so we’ll fit flexys at the mo... but point taken and we can go back and address later on (we will modify the lines anyway when we get round to sorting the fiddle brakes so will probably sort it out then.... unless it causes a problem when we fit the flexys)
