There are 150 big bore kits available, lot of tuning is done to these in Latin America, so with some work you can get cams for them. Can use a honda stationary engine piston to make a larger bore engine. Theres also a 250 version available, actually 230cc which often gets used in Cheap quads and dirtbike Similar to the engine in the skyteam ace, and they are quite into tuning Ttfn Glenn

Contacted dvla to find out what is happening with my application, The reply was My inspection report was with the appropriate department, but they were waiting for some information from another department before they could proceed May be glacial, but dvla is moving along Ttfn Glenn Since progress on my car projects is slow, here's a picture of some of my other retro toys as this thread is a bit lacking in pictures

Work is progressing slowly on the gpz1100, planning to reinstate the fuel injection, cleaned the throttle bodies, freed up the injectors, test ran the pump, now the fun starts. The original system was rather basic, plus almost all the parts are now pure unobtainium Bitten the bullet and bought a microsquirt to handle the ecu duties, giving ebay a workout for a selection of sensors to connect the box of mystery to the engine Should be fun as I tend not to play well with modern technology Once some of the parts turn up, I can drive myself daft with getting it to play on the kitchen table Ttfn Glenn

In my defence, I was let out unsupervised, Went to get another cbr1000f as a supply of spares for the other 3 Whilst chatting to the seller, he mentioned some of the other machines he had which was pretty much my lottery win shopping list, but he did have something that was in my price range. 1982 kawasaki gpz1100, needs lots of work, Will need to get rid of some of my other toys to clear space for my latest insanity Ttfn Glenn

Another possible source of seats with inbuilt seatbelts could be coach and bus seats, probably lots of minibus seats from camper conversions available Ttfn Glenn

Currently the only projects that I can think of, that may fit your skill set, would be car and motorcycle seat recovering, So nice to see things being created, not just off the pegs disposable Ttfn Glenn

Got the Kawasaki running, moved off the lift, ready to pull the front wheel and forks out again, loaded the honda onto the lift. Things did not go quite to plan, as it decided to fall and land on me, luckily just a few grazes and son was on hand to help rescue me. Proceeded to start stripping the brakes, Thought the carbs were grotty, well the brakes were equally as bad Calipers were sticking, so yet again the ultrasound was getting another major workout Ttfn Glenn

Fitted new plugs to thezx9r, but most time was taken up with the cbr1000f wiring, lots of corrosion in the joins, switches and fusebox, Not forgetting lots of chok blok connectors Eventually got it sparking, then running, but only on carb cleaner, so another session of strip and ultrasound was needed, son volunteered to do the stripping, so I took some pictures of the horrors within Parts are currently vibrating in some suds, so will see if they can be rescued Ttfn Glenn

If I were you I'd keep a watch on the internet in case the other car comes up for sale . . . . . . . Whatever happens to the other buggy is out of my control and not my concern. The way things work, is dvla own all registrations and decide who they will let use them, currently they will be deciding whether either or neither buggy will be allowed to use the registration mark. All I can do is wait to see, how the cookie crumbles Ttfn Glenn

Inspector has visited, taken various photos, including the chassis and engine numbers. He said he will be writing a report for dvla, but was unable to give any idea of timeframe Ttfn Glenn

Instead of pulling it down, I decided to fully slave build the zx9r, And give it a few runs up and down the yard, misfire below 3k, then all hell breaks loose, and it turns into a complete animal, front brake feels wooden, rear only just about works, the electrics for the lights all work, so now I can pull it down for finishing Ttfn Glenn
