Extremely silly vid. And absolutely brilliant too Just a thought… What about 722.6 auto box? Over here in the UK they are cheap as chips and hold big horses. Plus you can buy a controller and have 2 maps, paddle shift etc. With a 3.07 diff it would be good for nearly 30mph/1000rpm in top.

i nearly bought a 2.4 (i think) in the early 1990's and it was rusty then. I remember it had an outrageous brown leather interior.

Love it. Driving a wheezy e200 four pot, I can only dream of such grunt (and noise). Hat off you you my good man. CFD thanks, 912 and a 124 spider! I had a 1756 twink in a caterham years ago. 131 box as the 124 one lunched itself. A shame it had beautiful ratios.

Impressive! Could you sort out the tacho and speedo? I have the bits to get the speedo and rev counter working, i'll be doing this over the next few months. Hope it works. I have a GPS speedo at the moment and if you boot it it can't keep up... 58, 58, 58, 129.....

There is still a return and 2 inlets, one at each end of the pump to ensure full fuel flow. The return has the restrictor in it at the pump end. No FPR. Supply running about a bar maybe 10 psi.

Love reading this.
Top tip, fan heaters, especially the bigger ones are much better than oil filled rads for getting garages up to temp.

Top W124 tip. Get a hair dryer and warm up the tabs that hold the head lights lenses on. Remove lenses and clean everything and polish reflectors. Pop new bulbs in and you will be amazed by the difference. From the outside they will sparkle too. might work on 190's too....

Is that Zirotec coating?
Used on my sleeper project's DP (have a look at my signature link)
The sleeper concept has so many pros and a Lada estate is a great choice.

I don't suppose it's you who has the Edinburgh area W124 with one odd 8 hole alloy and three 15 hole alloys? It's not I'm afraid! There are a LOT of us in Edinburgh with W124s though. I drove across town one weekend and counted 7 W124s on a trip of only a few miles a couple months ago without trying. The capital of old retro Mercness! I picked mine up from Edinburgh!
