The internet says it would be 1-2-4-3
You'll either have Bosch or Motorcraft distributor, which are slightly different, but the principle is identical. You need to set the distance that the points open at its widest point by undoing with a screwdriver, measuring with a feeler gauge and swearing at it a bit because the inlet manifold is directly above the bit you want to look at.

Something about your Readers Rides threads, Bruce. Always such weird tangents even after you've stated your final decision on what you're doing ;D
keep up the good work, though not while you're on holiday, obviously

Quality! Colin's probably spinning in his grave, but at least the doors nice and light. I can assure you that it was neither light nor compact. The kebab men found it highly amusing (though I'm sure they find most things amusing if there's a £70 order involved )

I very much doubt that the DVLA care whose cheque it was that was a bit rubbery, as far as they are concerned it hasn't been paid for and therefore not valid.
You're most likely going to need to buy tax and then decide whether you want to pursue the seller for the money back on (if it's the one I'm assuming) a £400 car.

Does it have a knob to adjust the dash backlight brightness? my old Passat could have the fuel level adjusted by fiddling with that sometimes ;D

'Dibs' is something invented by people who want something but either not enough to speak to the seller or don't have finance in place yet, isn't it? I'll only hold something as a seller for a confirmed viewing as generally the potential buyer will take their time and money to travel to see it, anything else is fair game until a deal is agreed between two parties.

I think they're 'orrible. But I wouldn't listen to anyone else's opinion anyway Just be aware how horrible they will be to keep nice... Can you hit that dent with a hammer from the inside to get it back to roughly the correct shape while you source a replacement bonnet (I assume that would be the plan?)

I had a 1.9 AAZ B4 Passat that was doing between 45 and 50 depending on driving style. I'm sure RobinJI has reported 50mpg+ figures from his B3 1.6 td when he had it. 60 is ambitious though..

I seem to remember a garage somewhere near Area 52 that does a lot of bodywork uses this stuff. I haven't got the knack with filler, so my attempts are awful regardless of brand

Looking good. Try cutting a slit down the middle of it and rejoining it using tacks, then tacks between the tacks etc. until it all joins up. Doing that slow enough should reduce the amount of heat put into the metal and therefore the amount of distortion

I think this is the key thing. If you've learnt and adapted to CO2, then it'll be fine. If you've been afforded the luxury of the 'proper' stuff, then going to CO2 will mean adapting your technique a bit. I'm on a BOC account with an annual rental of £35-40 and size Y bottles at a reasonable price through what was 'The Volkszone Deal', but I don't know if they still offer anything like that.
