Heating passenger side and nothing on drivers side? Sounds ideal for us. Wife always reckons it's cold and wants the heater on when I'm taking layers off cos I'm hot. Hope you find a solution to your problem.
edit; misread your original post.

Does it have a thermostat fitted & does it work ? This. Thermostat jammed shut will cause boiling with the top hose still cold. It did on my Falcon anyway. Not sure of RV8 setup. Prob similar.

She’s still a saucy little minx. John Quite right. Helen's not looking too bad either. You're not wrong. I probably still would.

"Unknown make, unknown capacity, probably French pre 1920s but could be a boat motor too for all I know, but it's the right scale, looks the period, and it turns over by hand."
At first glance I read that as boat anchor.
Looks like a fun thing to drive if you ever get it finished.

THe OEMs of course want you to scrap it at the first mot failure and buy another new car. Fork those guys.

"We torqued it up to the factory spec of 6 Ian / ft or about 1.8 Ian / Mtrs if you work in metric. (That’s one Ian hanging on the end of a 6 foot bar.)"
How many ugga-duggas is that?

I'm sure there used to be a thread for badly designed things like that balljoint setup.

Remember that old is a relative term. What you may think is old and simple may to others be modern and complicated. Best of luck finding something you like and can afford.

I'm 57. Got covid last year. Wasn't really sick with it (wfh right through) but did take a long time to recover from the lingering lethargy. I also have far too many projects, automotive and otherwise, that I haven't really looked at in years. If anyone has a magic solution to the lost mojo problem please share it with the group.

Love it. Probably a good thing it's so far away from here.

Kind of related question. How does this make any sense at all? I have third party only. Here in New Zealand it is around half the cost of full insurance. Speaking to GB News, Julie Daniels, motor insurance expert at Compare the Market, acknowledged the issues drivers were facing when getting cover for their cars.
According to the price comparison website, drivers will pay an average price of £848 per year for comprehensive cover, £1,296 for third-party, fire and theft, and £1,840 for third-party only.www.gbnews.com/lifestyle/drivers-warned-car-insurance-policy-protection-cheap
