Absolutely get it and at that stage with my trike build. I think that as long as there is an element or two of your own personal touches of which you are really proud, that's often all it takes to "feel the love" so to speak! The true measure is driving enjoyment.

As said, MFN is big on a Sunday with allsorts going on. On the second Tuesday of every month, they hold a classic car night which is good. There's also a great little monthly meet at the Carpenters Arms in Dale Abbey (Look on fb page)

Well the weekend was spent stripping the ally back out together with the wood floor and panelling. I was expecting a load of rust under the wet wood but surprisingly, it's fared quite well over nearly 20 years. Loads of silicone and adhesive still to remove before welding up about 50 drill holes on the tailgate. Anyhow, did it's first bit of work carrying this workbench tonight!

brachunky I Like your bin cover. keep everything inside and everyone one who wants something in the bin outside ,lol, like here in south africa i would have go for this, but would have go more for a black look. to go with the wheels. don't you guys have the tonneau cover which make access to the bin easy.? No tonneau cover here sir! You can't get anything for the utility in the UK apart from the parts shared with the saloon. Have been looking for a roof spoiler but can't even seem to find one from SA suppliers.

Good luck with the Alpine Pistonpopper! You're a braver man than I am! I won't be joining you as I had enough of them in the 80s! On other matters, I too would like a 300C but oddly (for ME especially) not the pretty and practical estate, but a Black sedan with blacked out glass and preferably (but not essential) a large Hemi. Then I can finally use the bumper sticker I bought in the 70s that says "Mafia staff car, keepa da hands OFF!" Steve Well done, I was too nervous saying on here that a 300c would tick a box for me too

Around 10 miles from home is whats known as Bold Lane car park in Derby. Right blob of retro concrete built in 1974. It's well known around as being the most secure car park in the world since the late 90's when they installed a fancy motion detector/barcode security system. They have never had any theft since then!

Get your name down asap for a council garage as they go fast.I was on a waiting list for nearly 3 years for mine just outside Notts. Also consider offering to pay a pensioner in your area to use their garage if you know of anyone as they often need the extra cash.

Yes, they are horrendous but before being too harsh about the tat brigade and maxpowerrangers, how many of us stuck fluff on the dashboard and lambswool seat covers back in the day?!! Not to mention those suction cup type eye level brake lights we plonked on the back window I think we all did some sort of tat at some point if honest!
