I want to put my trailer in here The opening is 7ft wide as is my trailer I want to notch this post by 3.5cm. It is 11.5 cm wide and 28cm deep. It stands 10ft high and supports this I don't want it to fall down. Would a wooden beam on the opposite side help? Or would it be ok?

It's pretty much a 806 touring car so no reason not to build a race van I was looking for that. Good find

You can fit Alfa 5 stud alloys to them I've owned them for the last eight years and they do have some architectual style to them. But in general they are just a tall odd-looking van Assuming he has bought it for a reason, not just to look at, your dad will be best off keeping it well maintained and looked after. So long as he has one of the turbo versions they are great to drive. Seriously, they handle very well, They have very positive steering and a good chassis and will go around corners much faster than you thought reasonable With enough persuasion they will go low

In my experience it would be a local freight company who would pick it up and pass it on to another company near you for delivery
A lot of these companies are part of the Palletways network
The ones near me are John Reid Trucking based in Brigg. If you run out of ideas i would call them and see if they know someone in your area

I don't know what these particular parts are worth but i would assume it would make more in parts. Eventually
You could scrap it. They're paying £100 per ton near me
Sell it. You know what you'd get based on what you paid
Strip it. If you have the time and patience to list each part correctly and wait for the sale you could be surprised how much you get back. Then still weigh in what you don't take off

Shame you didn't get your battery, Chris, but at least you got Halfords to sort themselves out. Got a good deal in the end too

I imagine the ebay ones are safe enough but i wonder if the Clarke ones feel a little better built or sturdier
Less 'wobble' in your axle stands is a good thing
Right now i'm wondering whether i blow £15 on the Clarke ones because i 'know' they're good or risk always thinking the cheap ones are a bit rubbish if i bought them

Interestingly the halfords ones weigh 1.5 kg more that the ones on ebay
I never occured to me the risk was with the ratchet slipping
I would like to ask the person who left the back feedback why but their name isn't visible

I fancy a set of those axle stands which lock as you lift them removing the need for a second hand I typed into ebay and these come straight up www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-Heavy-Duty-3-Ton-Axle-Stands-Van-Caravan-Stand-Lift-Racks-Black-Red-Pair/172668421319?hash=item2833d704c7:g:~kMAAOSwjqVZEs0jUnbelievably cheap i think. I go to click buy it now but notice the seller has less than perfect feedback. In the one of the negatives someone wrote about these stands "DANGEROUS, DO NOT BUY IF U WANT TO LIVE!!". Now they have sold hundreds of them and the first page of ebay appears to be covered in them But i want to live So, what would you do? These stands start off at around £16 and go gradually up in price. At what point do you know you are getting a good set but aren't paying more than you need to?

Having looked at the options for MTOD it seems you can subscribe for $29.99 for the first year, then $59.99 afterwards. It looks like they have a lot of car-related content and motorsport on there which I haven't seen before, which looks like it *might* be worth the subscription fee... but then I learn that some of it isn't available in the UK... so what exactly do we get to watch for $59.99? I love Roadkill, and as I said I'd happily pay to watch it, but there is a limit to what I'd pay. I don't get a lot of time to watch TV so shelling out 60 dollars to watch one Roadkill episode every month doesn't strike me as great value for money. Same with Amazon and TGT. There's pretty much nothing I want to watch on Prime, apart from *maybe* TGT... so 70 quid a year just to watch one moderately entertaining TV programme just doesn't make any sense. This is the problem with the subscription model we have at the moment, and it's why piracy is still a thing. It's $24.99 for the first year The way i look at it is i'll pay the lower rate for one year and this will give me the chance to find out if it is worth paying the extra for the following year
