That Thunderbirds Ford isn't as classy as the Rolls Royce This is the full-size copy built in the 60s to promote the film. I think it was based on a bus chassis.

I'll see your Wolfrace Sonic, and raise you a Panther Six I remember this being in a tv ad for Timex watches when I was a kid ;D It's been a while, but if I remember right it had an 8.2 litre Cadillac engine and autobox mounted in the rear. The reason for the huge rear tyres is that all that weight in the back made for quite a bit of oversteer, obviously front end grip with 4 tyres was excellent which didn't help. Adding to the mix was the enormously torquey engine, so when you lifted off the throttle the engine braking was substantial, so if you lifted off mid-corner this was like hitting the brakes in a car which is already tail heavy Have a look here: www.coviniengineering.com/c6w/intro.htm "the first six-wheeled supercar" As long as you don't remember the Panther Six then

Cool ;D I've just found a few of my old Scalextric cars for the kids to play with, but it seems 20 years of the cars festering in the attic hasn't done the tyres any good. Anyone know where I can find replacements? They're a mixture of slicks and treaded, big and small from the late 70s and early 80s. I think the Audi Quattro still has its fully working rubber band too

How useful is the centre child seat in the back of an 850? Can you still put a child seat on either side? An 850 could be a handy alternative to MPV hell

Noel Edmonds was involved in the launch of the Suzuki Whizzkid too. It's quite useful having a short person to make your cars look more roomy ;D

I had a 106 Rallye a few years ago, last of the 1.3s with 100bhp. It was good fun, and came with wide steel wheels as standard which I loved but nobody else did
