I've been sorting out my pile of brochures and these may go as I am not owning one of these and probably never will as well... All brochures are UK brochures, on the pictures they sit on a plastick tray... First up a General Brochure of the Formel E line, year is not stated but must be early eighties as it features a facelift mk1 polo (1979-1982) general good condition but the paper is a bit yellow on the edges, as it is a white brochure it is noted, also see the pictures. 2nd a votex accesory flyer dated 09/77 Passat Brochures 1979 1980 1981 1982 flyers: the new passat and passat formel E: Formel E: new passat flyer: then a 1979 1980 and 1981 Polo sales brochure and Polo LX flyer An finally a 1982 Jetta brochure and flyer: the new Jetta I would like 4 quid each for the passat brochures and flyers, 2 quid for the votex flyer 8 quid for the formel e range brochure, 10 quid for the jetta brochure and flyer (together) 6 quid each for the polo brochures all passat brochures (6) for 2420 quid all polo brochures (4) for 2420 quid pickup at RRG preferred, or post at cost offers or swaps (NOS parts) via pm are welcome

potential, ooohh yes.. these W124's are rock solid, they do like to rust, but the mechanical bit is almost indestructible. when it has been sitting for a few years, make sure you check all the rubber bits, also make sure you lubricate the internals before starting it up (have the engine go round by hand a few times, and change the oil and coolant) also these are brilliant towing vehicles

did you check the oil level? autoboxes can act strange if the oil is low.

If your car charger is a "smart" one then it'll just curse word itself when confronted with a completely dead battery and turn off, thinking you've shorted the terminals out. If you connect the battery in parallel with a good one to get the voltage up, then connect the charger you'll fool it into working. Dumping 15 odd volts into a fairly knackered battery can just make it get a sort of "surface" charge, where the voltage flies up but the thing won't really take any current and will probably bubble away. You can turn a normal car charger into a kind of trickle charger by wiring a 5w sidelight bulb in series with the battery, which will limit the current to a bit under half an amp, ish. TBH though, if you are getting into this game, the battery has probably got less successful cycles left in it than Lance Armstrong. I've got some old dead batteries i'd like to get going again, you say if i connect them parallel to a good one , my charger will bring life back to them? How do I check if the battery is not complety shot and short circuit? measure the ohms inside? What's the minimum for a rescuable battery?
