in a couple of european countries you can get temporary licence plates that include insurance
for instance if you buy a car in the Netherlands and put it on export plates, you will be perfectly legal to drive it home, as long as it has MOT on it.
Same sort of temp plates are available in Germany and Austria.
In some countries the plate belongs to the vehicle and can be kept, cheapest way is then to insure it on chassis number in the UK. in other countries the licence plate belongs to the owner (for instance Belgium) and thus you have to get a temporary plate to fit the car.
Where are you planning to buy a car?

you don't have 3 phase i suppose?
get at least a 50ltr but i would recommend a 100ltr tank otherwise the impact gun is a nono
cfm is then less important because you have storage and this is a bonus if you don't have 3 phase. duty cycle of an impact gun is about 20% this means the compressor has time to come back to pressure in between use.
you can use a separate tank, if you add a shut off valve to that you have the advantage of a system that is on pressure fast, when you just have to check your tyre pressure.
if you want to do painting or sand blasting you need to go even bigger i've got this: FIAC Roda compressor 150 ltr tank 3 HP 400Volt 3 phase 310 l/min cfm 200 l/min effective was about 450 quid
that is just about the minimum required for sandblasting.
if you do have 3 phase, make sure it comes with a phase cutoff switch (if one phase stops working, it shuts of the power completely, otherwise your brand new compressor will burn the wiring on its motor.)

I agree the RS's were in the wrong place on the club stand (modern parking would be a better place), but i would liked to have seen one go up the track at full pace.

the 850's were awesome, pls don't let them be stopped going up the hill.
as long as there's a vast majority of retro's a couple of more modern cars are just fine, especially if they're modified... I guess about the same rules are valid as the for sale section on the forum, everything in "not very interesting or modern" should not go up the hill.
having a couple of cars do the run 5 times and then switching to the next line could be an interesting option, would give people that do some track action also give the opportunity to see the rest of the show.
And if there's an accident or problem, just let people continue to the top and get back in line, when theres just a couple of cars to wait for its not really a problem but it does speed things up. having to turn round, head back and turn round again is not very efficient.
I've not been involved in the track action myself, but i hope this helps to make it better next year.. (hope to bring a track worthy car next year)

as this forum is retro, it could be that someone is still on a 56k, or not (or mobile phone) I just thought it was funny as 5 years ago all pic heavy topics were titled 56k no go area and similar.
