Wasnt sure where to put this as its not a car or parts so thought I would stick it here. I bought this for a project but have changed my plans so looking for my money back. Its an Estrerel fold down caravan. It is not a trailer tent so it has solid sides, cooker, sink, wardrobe and sleeping space for 3 (1 double bed and a single). The beds both assemble for seating space and a table. The chassis has been reconditioned and has a sliding brake hitch and new tyres (about 200 miles of use). The only down side is that some of the wood around the door opening has gone rotten and needs replaced. This caused the door to fall off so this is damaged but is there with the caravan. With a small amount of work this van will be back on the road and great for pulling behind a van or car. The area that needs work; Its a great van and even though it looks big it can be put up by one person. Looking for my £200 back and if you are in Glasgow I will deliver it (will deliver further for petrol money). PM me or give me a phone. Dave (07979 308 958).

or this? There is a full-on camper version of that up the road from me. Every time I drive past it I think to myself...."Hmmm - how cool!" It's in pretty tidy condition too! Is it white and blue?? I was collecting a Beetle in Bristol on Tuesday night and there was a white and blue merc van the same as that parked at the side of the road. Dave.

Hi all, I was wondering if anybody has a roof box and or bars that would fit my Audi; It would be great if I could borrow one for the weekend of September (Thurs 10th-Tues 14th) but I would be willing to buy at the right price or do a swap (I have a car transporter so can swap for time). Thanks for looking and for any help, Dave. P.S. Close to Glasgow would be great. don't ask much do I?

For some reason it reminds me of the DeLorean in Back to the future 3.

I love cookie cutters and used to have them on a couple of my Beetles......see; One issue I can see (and I might be off the mark as I have never worked on a TR7) is if the adaptors are significantly bigger than the font hub centres they may foul the brake callipers. Would look great and I had 3 sets of cookies last year including a set of 6inch wide but I'm affraid I got rid of them. They should be cheap wheels to get hold of though as they are either loved or hated. Dave.

This run was posted on the VW forum and allthough I couldnt make it to Loch Lomond for the BBQ I thought I would go to the meeting point to see what turned up. I wasnt dissapointed. The rest of the pics are here; www.flickr.com/photos/route9autos/sets/72157621864561811/And I put together a short video which is worth watching to the end with the sound up, Dave

My biggest car name gripe, when people add an A to the end when they say Porsche.
Jeremy Clarkson is bad for this but then he always pronounces Volkswagen with a V in the middle.

When I price up a job its a £40 minimum/call out charge and £1 for every mile travelled with the car on the back (1 way basically).
Only problem is I'm in Glasgow so not exactly local.

^^That looks so overloaded, I would pull you and I am nothing to do with VOSA! LOL! As I said last time you told me you would pull me over, the truck weighs 1.5 ton empty and a fully kitted bay window is 1.4 ton so well within my limits. No worse than a luton van packed to the limits with stuff, only difference is you can see my load. Dave.

Yes, don't do as a mate of mine did, and park uphill of the car to be loaded then try and drag it up onto the loader using the tie down eye on the striken car.

I think if you are applying for a V5 as a new owner you don't need to pay. You only pay if you lost the V5 yourself and need a replacement in your name but double check this on cort16's link.

I think I have posted these on the forum before but they fit the thread. I built this to match my '66 beetle; Then once I sold the beetle I modified it to better suit my van; Its hardly used now as I have a recovery truck for big things and an Audi A6 for carrying smaller things so thinking about getting rid. Really enjoy towing a trailer for some reason, I like the challenge of reversing. Dave.
